I refuse to get caught up in the hype surrounding Karmelo Anthony.
In life, we all have decisions to make. Decisions that can keep us free or decisions that can imprison us.
While the racial overtones that continue to plague America cannot be ignored, personal responsibility and accountability still matter.
Karmelo made a decision in a moment that required better judgment, and now he must face the consequences of his actions.
I will get crucified for this, but we as black people need to stop making excuses and making bad decisions then claiming race; it’s about the reality that every action carries a consequence, and every choice has a price.

Those walkie talkies on poles by God's grace saved my life and possibly my son in May 2023 when those cowardly criminals you and your incompetent administration continue to protect decided to cowardly shoot at me and my son injuring me.
The @Chicago_Police Department, @ChicagoCAPS03 Officers were there like angels getting my son out of harm's way and getting @CFDMedia to me quickly.

Last night, CPD responded to a large teen party near 47th St and King Drive. As officers arrived, the crowd began moving toward 46th St and Prairie Ave.
A group of teens then became involved in a fight. During the altercation, one of the teens pulled out a gun and opened fire into the crowd, striking four people.
CPD officers immediately took the offender into custody.

I hope the Black Community is paying attention to “Failure” #ChicagosMayor.
For the last several years, he has ignored the needs and turned a blind to the Black Community.
Instead of focusing on safer neighborhoods, a better business climate for possible development, he appeared more interested in carrying out the agenda of the Chicago Teachers Union and spending millions of taxpayer dollars funding illegal migrants.
Millions were spent on illegal migrants while many Black communities continued to struggle with crime, poverty, unemployment, failing schools, and disinvestment.
Now, with his approval ratings in decline and political pressure mounting, Brandon Johnson is suddenly showing up for so called town hall meetings, community forums, and photo opportunities in Black neighborhoods.
All while still running and hiding behind closed doors to duck accountability, something he is good at doing.
The question is: Where was this urgency when the Black Community was being ignored and illegal Migrants dumped in our communities?
The Black Community deserves more than election-year outreach and carefully staged photo ops. It deserves leadership that is present, accountable, and committed to addressing the real issues impacting Black families every day, not using paid actors to act like #ChicagosMayor gives a damn about the black community all of sudden.
Pay attention. Remember the record, not the rhetoric.
