Trump shared a 'what's next for Gaza' video that is absolutely bonkers. It includes bearded/breasted women, a Trump-head balloon, and golden statues of himself like he's auditioning for his own chapter of the Old Testament. See it here: truthsocial.com/@realDonaldT…

We live because our love is, and always will be, stronger than their hate. 📸 My great-grandmother, Lily Ebert, who survived Auschwitz, with some of her descendants—“the greatest revenge against the Nazis.”

You know, the thing that bums me out the most about the Oklahoma SSI saying there have to be Bibles in classrooms: The Bible is a religious classic. Having them available for kids to read is a great idea. But most kids can’t read a KJV. But that’s the one they have to have

We can be deeply grateful Trump’s life was spared and still strongly wish we had different presidential candidates. Humans really are capable of nuance. Trolls are not. But humans are.

Every #DDay I come back to Harry Billinge ❤️ If you’re tempted to moan about something meaningless or complain today… watch Harry and think about what he, and many others, went through for the freedoms we all too often take for granted. There aren’t many of those heroes left but they have so much to teach us. We’ll be playing music to commemorate the anniversary throughout the day on @ClassicFM #DDay80 #LestWeForget

They won't call it a ban. Yet not only has my book been moved, but now elementary schoolers must request a copy from a specialist at its new site AND then also PROVE their reading level before seeing a copy. All these hurdles for a young reader just to access a poem in history written for them. @MDCPS , history is not ours to hoard from children. History has always been theirs to make. And the more they're empowered to know our yesterdays, the more prepared they will be to lead us into tomorrow.
It's not a ban, they said. It just on another shelf, they said. But the truth about the ban on @TheAmandaGorman's book—as is often the case with book banners—was something quite different: An elaborate—& daunting—process for elementary school children simply to access a poem.

On May 10 1933, one of the largest Nazi book burnings took place, in Berlin. Over 20,000 Jewish books were burned. Last year, on May 10 2022, 89 years later, my great grandma’s memoir about surviving Auschwitz was published in the US. The Nazis did not win! ❤️
