Shehryar Kayani has UNSEATED the Labour leader of the council, John Cotton, in Glebe Farm and Tile Cross.
Not once. Not twice. Not three times they counted. Four times he won.
They took days to announce it — but they couldn't hide it.
✅ Over 26,000 votes for the Workers Party across this round
✅ 2,000 in Glebe Farm and Tilecross alone
✅ One of the hottest council elections in British history
This isn't just a win. This is the first of many.
As they said themselves: "They used to laugh at us. They used to laugh at the independent movement. But we brought Labour to its knees."
John Cotton made the council rotten. Now the people have spoken.
