Hey @nytimes
Osteopaths aren't alternative practitioners. The're licensed docs.
Homeopaths naturopaths aren't "alternative practitioners" either. They are pseudoscience purveyors should never be considered an alternative to a qualified medical clinician
Perfect illustration of how the UDS is more likely to be a detriment to your MDM than a benefit, and why (along w the WBC, rib XR, EtOH level, & about a dozen others) is the bane of my existence #MedTwitter#Dogmalysis
Honored to host @embouncebacks today! The residents learned from (what else) a bounceback case & got to watch/participate in a live recording of an EMRAP Medicolegal Briefs segment w Mike & @MikePallaci. Thanks for making the trip Dr Weinstock! #MedTwitter @CalHarrell @HeySteveMD
Traveling up to Akron today for grand rounds w Mike Pallaci and the Emergency Medicine residents tomorrow - we will discuss a legal case, record a few podcasts, and explore some bounceback cases - can't wait!! @MikePallaci@Akron_EM
Summa Health System’s NP Becky Knopf is known for being a hard worker & team player. She knows what our busy ED needs & adapts to care for patients. She is flexible, fun to work with & genuinely cares for all. Thank you, Becky for all you do! #NPWeek#USACSCares
👇👇this is excellent, also note that:
1️⃣ bipap/cpap can *recruit* lungs in ways that other modalities cant
2️⃣ bipap can continue ventilation & recruitment during induction of sedation (bit.ly/3k4gtTE)
in short, if worried the patient will critically desat, bipap = best
