Today, my typeface touched skin for the first time.
A Hoysala inspired Kannada font, once shaped by ancient stone inscriptions, is now part of someone’s identity forever.
From stone to skin.
From heritage to heartbeat.
Typeface still in progress.

ALT Today, my typeface touched skin for the first time.
Seeing this tattoo felt unreal.
A name written using my Hoysala inspired Kannada font, surrounded by ornamental details inspired by ancient stone inscriptions now carried on a living hand instead of temple walls.
While designing this typeface, I spent countless hours studying the silent beauty of Hoysala carvings, the rhythm of old Kannada letters, and the soul hidden inside every curve carved into soapstone centuries ago.
I never imagined someone would choose to wear that vision permanently as part of their identity.
This image feels like history finding a new surface.
From stone inscriptions… to skin.
From heritage… to heartbeat.
Moments like this remind me that typography is not just design.
It can carry memory, emotion, language, and belonging.
The font is still in progress, but today it already became part of someone’s story forever.
