Why?
Most green-card applicants will need to go abroad to apply for permanent residency at an American consulate, rather than filing from within the U.S. as they do now, the Trump administration announced Friday. on.wsj.com/4v2Fqkr

Big news from @SEPTAPHILLY! There will be increased services on the Broad Street Line and additional services for bus routes to the @FWC26Philly Fan Fest at Lemon Hill. ➕Complimentary rides back from NRG Station beginning at half-time of each match, thanks to @Airbnb.
SEPTA is preparing to welcome FIFA World Cup fans to Philadelphia and the region by providing additional service for the six matches as well as the FIFA Fan Festival at Lemon Hill. ⚽️👏 For each match #SEPTA will offer extra B trips to and from NRG Station. The expected ridership for each match is approximately 31,000 and we expect to move about 15,000 people per hour on the B with the extra service and capacity. The cost for riding SEPTA to the FIFA World Cup matches will stay the same as any other trip: $2.90 on the B. Together @FWC26Philly and Airbnb are sponsoring free rides home from NRG Station that will begin at halftime and continue for two hours following the end of the match. The B and the L will operate overnight on match days with trains running every 30 minutes to select stations. Look for additional service on Bus Routes 32 and 48 which serve the Lemon Hill area for the FIFA Fan Festival. Both routes will provide frequent weekday service—every 15 minutes or less from 6AM to 9PM. SEPTA offers a variety of convenient payment options including contactless. Tap your credit/debit card or mobile wallet to pay the fare for up to five riders. wwww.septa.org/info/world-cu… #ISEPTAPHILLY #WeArePhiladelphia #WeAre26 #FIFAWorldCup2026

In partnership with the @ussoccerfndn , the mini-pitches are part of a larger $1 million investment by Airbnb to bring the small, hard-court soccer spaces to under-resourced communities across #NewYork and #NewJersey ahead of the international tournament, which will bring matches to MetLife Stadium next summer. “At Airbnb, we’re committed not just with words, but action to make sure the World Cup’s impact is felt on local communities far beyond the tournament,”said Janaye Ingram, Global Director of Community Partner Programs and Engagement for @Airbnb. bxtimes.com/fifa-world-cup-l…

Hundreds of thousands of people are on their way to Pittsburgh RIGHT NOW for the @NFLDraft. These fans, prospects, and some of the biggest names in football are staying at our hotels, eating at our world-class restaurants, and supporting our small businesses. And as a result, Western Pennsylvania will see over $120 million in economic activity this week — dollars that will be invested back into the Steel City, creating more opportunity for the people who live and work here every day.

Every fan attending a World Cup game at the Linc will be able to get home safely AND for free using @SEPTA. Pennsylvania is the center of the sports universe this year — and I'm glad the Philly host committee and many others have stepped up to be there for our fans.
The Philadelphia host committee for this summer’s World Cup has secured an agreement for fans to receive free travel when leaving Lincoln Financial Field via the city’s transit system. That system, SEPTA, last week revealed that it would be keeping fares consistent with ordinary prices during the World Cup, meaning passengers will be asked to pay $2.90. This will remain true for transit to the stadium. But now, The Athletic can reveal that those travelling via SEPTA will not be asked to pay at all when exiting Lincoln Financial Field after the six World Cup games at the venue. The agreement comes after comparatively sky-high prices for transit to and from World Cup games in Foxboro and New Jersey, with an $80 train and $95 bus being unveiled to transport fans to matches at Gillette Stadium from Boston. NJ Transit on Friday confirmed a round-trip rail ticket from New York Pennsylvania Station to MetLife Stadium would cost $150 per passenger. An alternative bus shuttle service will cost $80.
