Where the magic happened! The Specials recorded Ghost Town in the basement of the house on the right. John Rivers' studio in Woodbine St, Leamington Spa was also used by Felt, Swell Maps, The Pastels, The Loft, Mighty Mighty and many more
Best wishes to and solidarity with @nicholaswatt, a fair and mild-mannered journalist bloody good at his job.
Faces of the marauders who abused and threatened him are clearly identifiable.
Are you @metpoliceuk enforcing the law or surrendering streets to mob rule?
@guardiannews Could you please follow up the helpful (worrying!) feature about Covid-19's effects on the lungs, with any good advice possible about how patients can help reduce its effects on their lungs, as it develops? For example, isn't it better to try not to lie down?
Having been treated for post-op pneumonia last year, it seemed that alleviating the condition is helped by the patient 'self-ventilating' i.e. ensuring they take deep breaths regularly. Would Covid-19 patients at the 'coughing' stage benefit from doing the same?
@Channel4News For someone as experienced as John Snow to include in his summing-up that he has 'never seen so many white people in one place' is a ridiculous and possibly inflammatory thing to say. He should be ashamed not to have been more considered on this fraught evening.
I am anything but a supporter of the UKIP and Leave demo that's in Westminster tonight, but steering thoughts towards racist undertones that aren't being overtly expressed is stirring up trouble, at the very least.

In an expanding #IT perimeter, #InfoSec must now build a strategy to protect #cloud, #AI & mobile environments. As a result of digitalisation, says @AlanRodger_UK organisations need a business-driven approach to #security: bit.ly/2lDI7bB
Always good to catch up with new jargon! โPhigitalโ is the recently coined name for the upcoming generation of students who donโt draw a distinction between the physical and digital worlds and are comfortable in both. It explains a lot! #FutureEdTech
Looking forward to chairing post-lunch session on 'Next Generation Data & Analytics ' at #FutureEdTech at Inmarsat in London's Silicon Roundabout area, as part of London Tech Week. @Ovum @KNect365 x.com/AlanRodger_Ovum/statusโฆ
Great keynote from #ovum colleague Richard Palmer here at #futureedtech. Much stress on data, second only to strategy, as the key to institutional performance and student engagement, both vital to Winning. These topics set up well for Track A this afternoon, which I'm chairing.
There are still some places available if anyone would like to register for next Tuesday's 'Future Ed Tech' event in London x.com/AlanRodger_Ovum/statusโฆ
I'll be presenting on GDPR, and hosting an afternoon session on Next-gen Data & Analytics, at Future Ed Tech in London on June 12th. Do register if you're interested in EduTech.
