This week, we’re joining @SBAgov, @AlaskaDHSEM, @cbjuneau, and @tlingithaida to assess damages from the Aug. 5-6 Mendenhall Glacier Flooding.

If you registered for the @AlaskaDHSEM disaster assistance program, you must also register with @FEMA to determine if you're eligible to receive additional funds.

Governor Dunleavy underwent a procedure this afternoon to address recently detected basal cell carcinoma.
The Governor is expected to make a full recovery.
Gov Dunleavy declared a disaster for flooding in Eagle, Circle, Glennallen, and Crooked Creek.
The SEOC has not received request for critical life, health, or safety assistance.

We've issued Coastal Flood Watches for areas north of the Bering Strait to Utqiagvik beginning late Wednesday night. Areas along the western Arctic Coast including Point Lay and Wainwright may see water levels 5 to 8 feet above the normal high tide line. #akwx

I thank the President for listening to @SenDanSullivan, @Rep_Peltola, @GovDunleavy, and me, and approving our request for a 100% waiver of the State’s cost share for federal assistance associated with recovery efforts from the Western Alaska disaster.

I am glad to see that the Biden Administration has honored our request to waive 100% of the State’s cost share for additional disaster assistance. Alaska’s Congressional Delegation and I know the waiver will go a long way in helping repair the damage to these communities.
The @WhiteHouse has approved a major disaster declaration for Alaska due to the west coast #AlaskaStorm that occurred Sept. 15-20.
