Nothing better than a nice summer day in Chicago!

I just got caught up on the Ipswich lacrosse cigar saga. How embarrassing for those parents. I guarantee they will look back on this in a few years and not be proud. Similarly, if their kids aren’t mortified today, they will be one day as well

“The guy who plays Kramer.”
I’ve been watching old episodes of Seinfeld. Julia Louis-Dreyfus and Jason Alexander deliver masterclass comedic performances episode after episode, while, in counterpoint, Seinfeld and the guy who plays Kramer give (respectively) some of the most wooden and histrionic reads ever conceived.

I love how Mamdani is doing everything he can to make sports feel like a communal experience. That's what they're supposed to be. Civic pride!
Mayor Mamdani is starting a new direct-to-camera series called "Morning Pitch," where he'll share weather, transit & tournament updates before every NY/NJ World Cup match day. He kicks off the first talking about the Knicks: "I have just 3 words for my fellow NYers: Knicks in 5.

I'm going to have this same energy at Lolla when I ditch my friends during Charlie XCX to watch the Smashing Pumpkins.
Olivia Rodrigo says her mom skipped her set at Lollapalooza in order to see Korn. "My mom likes so many crazy metal bands, which you would never guess just looking at her. I headlined Lollapalooza last year, which was so awesome and such a dream of mine. "But they have like headliners go at the same time. So like on this specific day, it was me and Korn headlining at the same time on like opposite stages. And everyone's like, 'Oh, that's perfect. You know, the Olivia fans will go see Olivia, the Korn fans will go see Korn. You know, there's really no overlap.' "But there was one overlap, and it was my mom." For years, @donjackoghue has fantasized whether an app that gay people use to hookup could also foster real life connection. For @Queerty, I wrote about MeetMarket and whether it's going to change the app game, or ultimately be more of the same queerty.com/he-started-a-new…

I’m old enough to remember when Mike Pence had to backtrack on Indiana’s bathroom bill to host the NCAA tournament.
Another story of how much momentum has gone against LGBT Pride; Indiana’s recognition of Nuclear Family Month, which the LG says is about “taking back the rainbow,” not even a blip in the debate about the Bears crossing state lines.

Everyone likes to shit on Chicago politics and rightfully so. But ultimately, the Bears look silly here. The Chicago Bears playing home games at a hazardous waste site over the Indiana border is comical. It will damage their brand.
The Bears’ Board of Directors voted Thursday to advance the stadium development in Hammond, Indiana, with the exact to be selected. This is this first time that the Bears’ board has voted on any stadium site. As one source said, “There is more work to do but barring anything very strange, it’s a done deal.”

I agree that most things in 2026 are way more difficult than 2005. But going to the airport isn’t one of them. You check in online and then breeze thru security with PreCheck or Clear. The whole process takes 10 mins.

I can’t believe that Bari Weiss fired Scott Pelley. It’s a crazy move. It shows she’s either very insecure, or has malfeasant motives. It’s probably both. She wasn’t brought in to improve the product—she’s never attracted an audience. She’s on an ideological mission.

Ossoff is going to be a top presidential contender if he wins re-election, which seems likely. He’s handsome, articulate and authoritative. You couldn’t come up with a more appealing general election candidate. I think he could pull off Obama-like margins against Vance or Rubio.

Ossoff: He’s trying to put his face on the money. He's building a monument to himself . But see, Atlanta, he's doing these things now because no one will honor him when he’s gone… because he's a failed president and a national disgrace.

If you’re making steak for dinner, you must also have a glass of bourbon in hand. I don’t make the rules.

Every time I visit New York, I am blown away by how much better everything is here: the men, the restaurants, the neighborhoods. It’s incomparable to any other city in the U.S.

These are new money houses built near my parents’ more quaint suburban country home. What do you think of these homes? Serene and beautiful or secretive and scary?

Snore fest. Dave Portnoy has the politics of a rich 60-something who moved from NYC to Florida because of Mamdani. This is supposed to be cool and cutting edge?
Right on cue….😂😂😂. Most predictable thing ever. Read till the end. Fucking Bernie 😂

People paying $24 for Driscoll's strawberries.
Only in florida there's a line and a bouncer outside a brand new organic grocery store called Nude Miami…they are charging $24 for strawberries and $14 for ground beef
