There’s something quite joyful about wearing out a foot 👇 Especially joyful because for some time I believed I wouldn’t walk again. #amputee #disability

My blood cancer medication was put on the PBS last September- blood cancer month. I would have had to pay 4,950 per month @ I qualified for it, so as a pensioner I pay 7.50/ mth, @ my weekly blood tests are bulk billed. Thank you labor party. Wouldn't happen under the LNP or ON.

I welcome the news from the Prime Minister today that Meghan Quinn PSM will be appointed as the next Secretary of the Department of Defence. Ms Quinn has had a distinguished career, including her current role as the Secretary of the Department of Industry, Science and Resources. She will take on the role of Defence Secretary next month and in doing so will be the first woman to substantively hold the position. I would also like to extend my sincere thanks to Greg Moriarty for his contribution as Secretary of Defence and wish him the best as Australia’s next Ambassador to the United States.

Still in awe that I was even asked, but tomorrow I fill the shoes of some of our feminist trailblazers, including our first female PM @JuliaGillard, when I give the @EMILYsListAus National Oration at @PressClubAust in Canberra. Listen in or buy tickets. Nervous but grateful. 🙏

Not even the bookies could predict the next level carnage within the Liberal Party & Coalition right now. Mayhem with extra mayo! How hard is it to say sorry? Aussies of Indian heritage deserve an apology, if not from Jacinta then from the Leader.

Barnaby Joyce, Michael McCormack & Darren Chester arguing AGAINST 20% off student debt in Parly last night is ‘peak boomer energy’. Well, thats what the kids are telling me! 🤣 #HECs

Today a member of the Liberal Party said men are more suited to maths and trades, while women are drawn to care roles. They've been saying things like this for decades. A note to the Liberals and Nationals; it's 2025. Your gender never means a job is off limits.

My good mate @AliFranceMP has barely had a day off since beating Peter Dutton. This arvo we spent some time at our local shops, talking to people about the things that matters to them. Awesome to see heaps of Maroon around as Queensland gets behind the boys tonight!

How have Labor’s #righttodisconnect laws made a difference to your life? Am interested to hear your stories.

For me the laws gave me permission 2 not respond if I need to switch off, less about my boss forcing me to work. Its been a mental switch that I am sure other Gen Xers might feel? I think our generation really feels the guilt of disappointing an employer, often 2 our own detriment

Just opened the first Suburban University Study Hub in Queensland - in Strathpine in the electorate of Dickson with the awesome @alifrance5. These Hubs are part of the Universities Accord, bringing university closer to home for people who live in our outer suburbs.
