I welcome the news from the Prime Minister today that Meghan Quinn PSM will be appointed as the next Secretary of the Department of Defence. Ms Quinn has had a distinguished career, including her current role as the Secretary of the Department of Industry, Science and Resources. She will take on the role of Defence Secretary next month and in doing so will be the first woman to substantively hold the position. I would also like to extend my sincere thanks to Greg Moriarty for his contribution as Secretary of Defence and wish him the best as Australia’s next Ambassador to the United States.

Just opened the first Suburban University Study Hub in Queensland - in Strathpine in the electorate of Dickson with the awesome @alifrance5. These Hubs are part of the Universities Accord, bringing university closer to home for people who live in our outer suburbs.
