I fully support the call for an institutional inquiry and a strong stand calling the Sidhra/Raika Bandi demolition illegal, unjust & clandestine. The action causing acute distress to Gujjar-Bakerwal families without due notice or FRA 2006 compliance is unacceptable. Immediate relief & rehabilitation must be ensured. We demand time-bound FRA verification, scientific surveys and alternate sites with grazing rights. Justice for tribals is paramount.

On the martyrdom anniversary of Mirwaiz Moulvi Mohammad Farooq Sahab, I pay rich tributes to this revered religious scholar and prominent voice of Kashmir.
