Hot Take: Foster Hilt as Ecomi Community Manager is Bullish
Why?
Let's move aside controversy, personal feelings, and anything else revolving around Foster.
The token has been in absolute shambles and it's not only because of the bear market.
I won't go into detail about the missteps we've seen this year, but things haven't looked good.
One of the biggest hurdles over the token is deafening silence.
When looking to hire someone you need to:
1) Identify the problem your business has
2) Hire someone to solve that problem
Foster is the ideal hire for token enthusiast, engagement, and communication.
The criticism that I've seen towards him is that
$OMI was his first crypto purchase.
If he was being hired as a crypto advisor, analyst, or anything broader I'd have to agree with that concern.
However, he's being hired for specifically the
$OMI token.
Which he indeed knows more about than most of you reading this whether you would like to admit that or not.
Foster has over 60 videos mostly on
$OMI tutorials, explanations, and takes.
He communicates clearly and knows the token.
The last criticism I see is that Ecomi hired a "bag holder community member" to fill the position.
Why would you want anyone else?
Literally, he has more incentive to communicate effectively, put out information, and engage the community than most people left in the ecosystem.
I would much rather that than someone with 0 incentive.
It almost reminds me of someone incentivized with commissions or equity in the company.
Usually, these people perform at much higher rates than without at least from my experience as an employer.
To conclude I don't know how I've personally felt about the
$OMI token the last year or so.
I've been disappointed because it seemed to be the stepchild of Veve.
I'd much rather them hire someone who has never lost faith in the token than an outsider personally.
I had Foster on my channel Sept 7th, 2021 and he was the most educated person on the
$OMI token that I had interviewed at that time.
I can only imagine where he is at 2 years later with
$OMI being his primary focus.
If you hold
$OMI I honestly fail to see how this could be a bad thing.
TL;DR
-Foster is educated on the
$OMI token
-Him holding should be an incentive to do well
-He knows how to engage holders
-I believe this is a good hire
