If you hike, paddle, hunt, fish or birdwatch on Florida’s public lands. Pay attention: SB 290/HB 433 includes language that threatens your access to the places we recreate and recharge.
A new bill would create a pipeline where conservation lands are acquired with public dollars — then reviewed for agricultural “suitability” and potentially sold off (though retaining the easement), permanently changing Florida’s conservation programs.

The State may have to consider proposals like this, but they don't have to approve them. Florida's conservation lands are meant to be protected. It's "Florida Forever," not "Florida For a Little While."

Tonight, the State posted a meeting agenda with an alarming proposal: To trade a portion of vulnerable and valuable Guana River Wildlife Management Area in St. Johns County to a private entity—likely for development.
