I was interviewed for this article. Another bill not covered by insurance came from UCI Long COVID Clinic since. “Others may not be so lucky and may be forced to pay for most of their care out of pocket. That's what happened to Amy Cook, 51, of Orange County, California.”
NBC News: 'Long Covid patients face medical debt after insurance denies claims' 'Millions in the U.S. are out of work because of severe long Covid symptoms, and many are struggling to pay their medical bills. Here's how to navigate insurance coverage.' nbcnews.com/health/health-ne…

Did you know that Hitler never once personally killed anyone? Same with Saddam, Pol Pot, Stalin, etc. They’re still mass murderers because they ordered others to do things that killed people. Musk did the same with DOGE—killing more people by 2030 than Stalin & Pol Pot combined.
Replying to @mattyglesias
Musk became Donald Trump's #1 political donor, assumed a high-profile role early in his administration, and in that role inflicted incredible harm on some of the most vulnerable people in the world while failing to achieve any of his stated goals. slowboring.com/p/yes-doge-fa…

This deal reopens a body of water that was open before the war and begins a nuclear negotiation far narrower than what Trump was seeking before the war. All at a staggering cost to the entire world while leaving an IRGC-led government that feels strengthened.

So this admin lets a private company, that the president owns stock in, use the White House and grounds for a pay-per-view spectacle using troops & staff, rents out ads everywhere, and has it streaming on the company whose monopolistic merger it just approved. Grift never ending

Heads up: The U.S. Postal Service has proposed a new rule that would allow it to refuse to deliver mail ballots in states that don't turn over voter rolls to the federal government. Democrats and voting-rights groups say the proposed rule is clear evidence that the Trump admin is trying to unconstitutionally intrude on state-run elections.

This is beyond ludicrous. Why the hell are U.S. Marines and soldiers saluting a UFC fighter? The military swears an oath to the Constitution, not celebrities, influencers, or the latest personality cult. Watching service members rendered as props for a UFC spectacle is beneath the dignity of the uniform and beneath the dignity of the country.
Community note
These service members are saluting Medal of Honor recipient Ty Carter, who is walking with the UFC fighter. By tradition, all U.S. military personnel salute Medal of Honor recipients regardless of rank. mohmuseum.org/medal-recipien… army.mil/medalofhonor/c…

BREAKING: Iran says the US has agreed to pay $300 billion in reconstruction funds directly to Iran as part of the deal Pakistan announced, alongside the release of $24 billion in frozen funds with $12 billion released before negotiations even start, per Mehr News. This directly contradicts Trump's & Vance's claim that no funds will be transferred to Iran at all. If Trump denies this is true, there never was a deal. If Trump confirms, the US has fully capitulated to Iran's demands.

Trump's birthday White House UFC fight will only be streamed on Paramount , which is owned by Trump mega-donor Larry Ellison. The event is supposed to be a "gift to the American people," despite needing a paid subscription to watch.

it's notable to me that the administration tried to frame tonight's UFC event as a "gift to Americans" but you can't watch it unless you have a paid subscription to Paramount

The goldfish in the bowl is four inches long and seems harmless. But released into a pond, it can become a four-pound monster that wrecks the whole ecosystem. People do this thinking it's the humane goodbye. It's the opposite. Goldfish are a serious invasive. Set loose, they don't stay small, they grow huge, root through the bottom like the little carp they are, uproot plants, muddy the water, fuel algae blooms, and gobble the food native fish need. Wildlife agencies pull football-sized goldfish out of lakes all the time, and they can foul a pond's water quality in about two years. It's not just fish. Released red-eared sliders (sold tiny, they live 20-plus years and triple in size), and dumped aquarium plants like hydrilla and fanwort, become invasive the same way. Even the water itself can carry disease and hitchhiking species. So when you're done with the tank, never release any of it, animals, plants, or water. Rehome the fish through a pet store return, a hobbyist group, or a surrender event.

Trump is Israel's cuck. Netanyahu knows it, and that's why he will continue sabotaging any ceasefire or potential peace. Trump is stuck. There's a reason no American President joined Israel in Iranian regime change, until of course, this dumbass.

If Trump tries to threaten the G7 to save Putin, the G7 should make the meeting all about Jeffrey Epstein. I'm pretty sure the French, Brits and Germans have the files. Show Trump their cards. Just like Putin did at Helsinki.

in honor of Boris being ADOPTED 🎉, let's all cry together over his before & after He came to us back in March feeling pretty miserable and exhausted from a hard life on the streets. He left us as a clear-eyed, purring, zooming, happy guy! He is so loved in his new home 🩷

“the U.K. seems to play this quite symbolic role, particularly for far-right actors in the U.S. Their main trick is to link any unwelcome incident or social development to mass migration, and they like to hold Britain up as a kind of cautionary tale” newyorker.com/news/q-and-a/h…

When the White House itself says “fight night energy is taking over DC,” the propaganda is no longer subtle. The propaganda function is obvious: 1. The White House is no longer just hosting an event. It is promoting a fight-night mood. The executive branch is publicly branding Washington, D.C. as an arena. 2. “Freedom 250” fuses nationalism with combat entertainment. The word “freedom” is attached not to constitutional rights, civic equality, or democratic self-government, but to UFC spectacle, crowd energy, flags, merchandise, sponsors, and warrior aesthetics. 3. The Washington Monument and National Mall become scenery. The image wraps the crowd, rainbow sky, monument, and patriotic branding into one emotional package: sacred civic space converted into regime entertainment. 4. The audience is being trained to experience politics as spectacle. Not law. Not policy. Not public service. Not constitutional restraint. Energy. Combat. Crowd. Adrenaline. Belonging. Dominance. The consequence is that politics stops being a system for governing and becomes an identity arena for frustrated men. When lonely young men, which America has millions, are trained to experience politics as spectacle, democracy becomes an arena for displaced male frustration. The state stops offering them a path to adulthood and instead sells them domination aesthetics: fighters, flags, enemies, crypto, gambling, and strongman myth. That does not make them citizens. It makes them fans of power. And fans of power are easy to monetize, radicalize, and mobilize against the republic itself. Menticide primed MAGA men for January 6 by breaking the link between politics and reality. They were trained to experience Trump not as a politician who could lose an election, but as a battle-hardened national protector whose defeat could only mean treason, theft, or enemy occupation. Once that myth took hold, January 6 became psychologically legible to them not as an attack on the republic, but as a rescue mission. This is how you get men who think they are defending America while attacking its constitutional order. Checkmate Mr. Putin. Well played.
Fight night energy is taking over DC. UFC Freedom 250 is almost here. 🇺🇸
