Basically everyone in Israel wants this war to end. A tiny group of people, who have disproportionate influence over the coalition, want it to go on and on for years and have become addicted to it. Everyone else basically wants an Israel the way it used to be, when it won wars quickly in several days rather than several years. They want a country that isnโ€™t defined by blowing up buildings or boasting about expelling people; they want a normal country that is strong militarily but can win decisively rather than fight forever against diminishing numbers of insurgents.
