Reminiscent of the “Medical Practice Moves from the Patient-Doctor Dyad to the Patient-Doctor-A.I. Triad” accelerator workshop at @RadInstitute back in 2024 — here’s that vision enacted!

This is not JUST a study of model performance, but of a TRIADIC care system, where AI serves as an extension, not a replacement, of the doctor-patient relationship. This is in contrast to a "dyadic" system, aka an "AI doctor" which replaces the doctor-patient relationship.
Last week, I heard @nytdavidbrooks speak @RadInstitute and I found these stats valuable as we pay respect to areas improving: “Schools in blue states like California, Oregon and Washington are languishing, but schools in red states like Mississippi, Alabama, Tennessee and Louisiana, traditional laggards, are suddenly doing remarkably well. Roughly 52 percent of Mississippi’s Black fourth graders read at grade level, compared with only 28 percent in California. Louisiana is the only state where fourth-grade achievement levels have returned to prepandemic levels.”
“If you tell a group they no longer have social mobility, they are going to flip the table,” @nytdavidbrooks on “How America Got in this Mess and How We Recover?” on hopelessness, loneliness and social trust @Harvard @RadInstitute with Dean Brown-Nagin

Wonderful reception @USAinUK to welcome this year's #Fulbright cohort.
A highlight: meeting Prof. Pickersgill, a 1960 scholar to @RadInstitute/@Harvard, who is still active in the community.
Wishing all the Fulbrighters the very best on your journey!
Our associate Faculty, Lesley Sharp (@Barnard professor of Anthropology), is in residence at the Harvard Radcliffe Institute @RadInstitute for Advanced Study, working on her book on hospice care in men’s prisons.
Enjoy your time in Boston, Lesley! Look forward to your book.
