If you're wondering how the recently resigned #NACC Commissioner, Paul Brereton, spent his time in his $800,000 p.a job, at least some of it was dedicated to writing to the Inspector General about some individual called, Ronni Salt's, twitter activities. After the first #robodebt decision failure, we encouraged people to exercise their democratic right to complain about that decision to the Inspector General of the NACC. Commissioner Brereton tried to head these many hundreds of incoming complaints off at the pass, by writing to the Inspector General and attempting to categorise this factual information dissemination as "spam" (one assumes in an attempt to weaken the validity of incoming complaints) (foi credit and thanks: Kangaroo Court)

The biggest threat to our lives is not the brown people living next door - it is the blood sucking bullshitting tax free billionaire grifters who own our politicians. So of course ā€œThe Ageā€ bury that mind blowing inconvenient truth somewhere past page 20 in the business section.

Hey @dfat, why are members of the Australian Jewish Association currently in the West Bank helping an extremist settler group promote a planned illegal settlement? Is this not a blatant breach of international law, and Australian law?

BREAKING🚨 Trump tried to shut down a 24/7 protest flying an ā€œ86 47ā€ flag a mile from the White House — and a federal judge just told his National Park Service to back off and read the Constitution. The protest is run by a group called Accountability Now USA, camped on land controlled by the National Park Service near the National Mall. Their flag reads ā€œ86 47,ā€ a slang way of saying ā€œthrow out the 47th presidentā€ — in other words, impeach and remove Trump using legal, constitutional means. Park Police ordered them to take the flag down, claiming it might be a coded threat on Trump’s life. When the group refused, the government threatened to yank their permit for the entire around‑the‑clock protest. U.S. District Judge Randolph Moss wasn’t having it. In a blistering temporary restraining order, he wrote that ā€œthe government seeks to squelch core political speech without any articulable — much less evidentiary — basis for concluding that the speech actually threatens the life or safety of the President.ā€ He noted that ā€œ86ā€ has a long, well‑documented meaning in American slang: to get rid of, or throw out — not to kill. Merriam‑Webster’s definition, which Moss actually cited in his opinion, backs that up. Moss found ā€œcompelling evidenceā€ that the protesters were simply advocating impeachment and removal, and ā€œno evidenceā€ that any reasonable person would see the flag as a true threat. The context made the government’s argument even weaker. The flag is red, white, and blue, covered in stars, with no images of weapons, skulls, or violence. It’s part of a continuous political demonstration featuring signs, speeches, and conversations with passersby — one sign even reads, ā€œKids, if your parents are MAGA, they love child rapists,ā€ a brutal but clearly rhetorical attack on Trump’s support for figures like Matt Gaetz and the party’s QAnon obsession. Moss pointed out that political speech is at the core of the First Amendment, and that the government can’t label it ā€œunprotected obscenityā€ just because it’s crude or offensive to those in power. The practical result: for at least the next two weeks, the National Park Service is barred from revoking the permit, forcing removal of the flag, or seizing it. The protest stays up, 24/7, right under Trump’s nose and right outside the federal courthouse where Moss sits. In a twist of irony, the administration’s attempt to silence four numbers on a flag just turned that flag into a national story and locked in a court ruling that ā€œ86 47ā€ is protected speech — the exact opposite of what Trump’s Justice Department argued when it indicted James Comey for posting seashells arranged in those same numbers on a beach. This is what the fight over ā€œweaponizationā€ actually looks like on the ground. While Trump rants about being censored, his agencies are literally trying to shut down peaceful protesters whose worst crime is flying a legally permitted banner saying ā€œthrow this president out of office.ā€ The judge’s message could not be clearer: in America, the president doesn’t get to decide which slogans are allowed in front of his house. And as long as the First Amendment still means something, four numbers on a flag are more powerful than all of Trump’s tantrums about being mocked.

There is a new military base in Australia — formally launched last week: ā€œUS Naval Base Stirlingā€ in Perth. ā–ŖļøThis is the US Indian Ocean naval base the yanks always wanted — but previous governments resisted. Then along came Morrison and his mate Albanese. ā–ŖļøTheir American friends offered them a fake justification called #AUKUS and they were only too happy to agree. ā–ŖļøIt may be officially named ā€œUS Naval Support Activity Stirlingā€ — but you know what it really is, despite the present silence over the new base of Albanese and Marles. ā–ŖļøIt’s another town no doubt added to the Chinese defensive retaliation list — I wouldn’t live in Perth for quids, nor Alice Springs, nor Exmouth, nor Darwin, nor Katherine, nor Port Kembla, nor Townsville, nor even Bungendore.
Why is Marles hiding the US declaration of their new military base near Perth? It is officially named: US Naval Support Activity Stirling Or in other words: US Naval Base Stirling

🚨OMG! PEOPLE ARE CHEERING AS CONTRACTORS GET CLOSER TO REMOVING TRUMP’S NAME.
🚨MAJOR BREAKING: Construction workers are setting up right now scaffolding to REMOVE TRUMP'S NAME from the Kennedy Center. A federal judge rejected Trump’s last-minute attempt to stop the removal today. The deadline remains; Trump's name must come off tonight at midnight. Judge Christopher Cooper denied DOJ’s emergency request to keep Trump’s name on the facade pending an appeal filed by Trump’s handpicked Kennedy Center yesterday at the 11th hour. Cooper ruled: ā€œCongress gave the Kennedy Center its name, and only Congress can change it."

Oh my dear God. What the fucking #Robodebt is this?? I just watched the last hour of the NDIS bill hearing and watched as @SenatorJordon, who has the patience of a saint, explain the actual NDIS and what a job interview looks like to a bunch of senior bureaucrats who have been called in to explain the enormous clusterfuck that is the plan for the former NDIS, which will harm hundreds of thousands of disabled people. At the end, he LOSES it. Justifiably. Go watch:) And then I get curious about who one guy is so I look at a govt table which says he’s now working in and a different name catches my eye. Russell de Burgh. ā€˜While working as the branch manager of the Pensions and Integrity branch of the Department of Social Services, De Burgh was identified by the #Robodebt Royal Commission as one of the officials who made "false representations" regarding the lawfulness and operation of the Robodebt program.’ And now this man has a very senior role in Health, rolling out cuts that will end lives and livelihoods in exchange for AUKUS submarines. I do not know why I am still shocked, yet I am. #RoboNDIS

This is what the UK spyware proposal means. There must be government spyware on every mobile device. It shall watch everything that happens, including always watching the screen, looking for things the government disapproves of. When anything is flagged by the software as something the government doesn't like, the software must block it from being sent or displayed (in realtime). The user of the device must not be able to shut this watching and blocking off. The only way to shut it off would be to ask the government or its proxies to do so for you, at their discretion. Therefore the whole device must be locked down. Administrator rights and the decision of what software or operating system to run or not to run must be taken from the owner/user and handed to the government and its proxies. Apple and Google are themselves working hard to lock down the devices they are involved in to shut out competition and establish a duopoly. The UK government says it is "working closely" with Apple and Google and currently they synchronise and coordinate their communication on this subject. The UK government is now proposing to mandate what would otherwise be illegal anti-competitive practices. @GrapheneOS on the Apple and Google duopoly: x.com/GrapheneOS/status/2053… Statement from @signalapp x.com/signalapp/status/20640… @ReclaimTheNetHQ on the state spyware: reclaimthenet.org/starmer-ca… The government announcement: gov.uk/government/news/new-p…

Our statement on the UK government’s demand that all content on all devices sold or used in the country be scanned, on the presumption of nudity, using a dystopian combination of age verification and content scanning. This proposal will not safeguard children. It endangers us all. signal.org/blog/pdfs/2026-06…

*** Update Today’s mediation - the second - has again failed to bring vexatious legal action against me to a close. This is not a fight I’ll shy away from as there is far too much at stake. As an Australian and as a journalist I have a responsibility to stand up for our right to criticise a govt engaged in what the UN, most major human rights organisations around the world including in Israel & most genocide scholars, have deemed is a genocide. Strong criticism of a country being investigated by the ICJ for plausible genocide, whose leaders are wanted by the ICC, is not only warranted, it is necessary. I have been cognisant of the complexity of geopolitical issues my entire life and cannot resile from the very thing that propels my enquiry - wanting to understand both what is happening and why, including the historical context. No one should presume they are entitled to hijack our deliberations and conclusions made in good faith, to the best of our ability, and after taking into account the views of all parties to a conflict and stakeholders.Ā  I will not be told what to think, and whether you agree or not with conclusions I have reached on specific issues, I’m sure you wouldn’t stand for it either.Ā  Our government should stand on the right side of history and impose sanctions on Israel, as we did against South Africa. Israel should not be held to a different standard.

Collective noun for a group of Meta Ray-Ban glasses wearers will be "Fluckers" because they are following the Flock surveillance camera biz model. Also, the ...berg.
🚨 Turns out Meta Ray-Ban glasses ARE actually equipped with facial recognition tech even though Meta said they weren't. Not only do the glasses detect a face, it also automatically encodes the face into a unique biometric signature. Surveillance creep IS the business model.
