Everyone who says Trump can't become a dictator assumes that the courts or Congress have the physical means to restrain or remove Trump. THEY DO NOT.

"The Constitution could not be sustained if the country did not first sustain certain virtues of self-restraint among those who administer the government". Paraphrased from writings of James Madison in the Federalist Papers. But, what does he know, right?

If Melania wants to do something to help future generations that isn't just a showy feel-good gesture, she should tell her husband to rein in the deficit and set the US on a path that will avoid the inevitable debt spiral that will land on future generations like a ton of bricks.
First lady Melania Trump announced the launch of “Fostering the Future Accounts,” a program designed to allow state and tribal child welfare agencies to open investment accounts for children in foster care. The initiative expands on the Trump Accounts program and follows new federal guidance permitting agencies to act as guardians for the purpose of establishing the accounts. Trump said the accounts are intended to support long-term savings, asset ownership and financial independence for foster youth. According to the first lady, 23 governors have pledged to begin the enrollment process for eligible children.

And Trump is less than half way through his elected term in office. So basically: You ain't seen nothing yet B-b-b-baby, you just ain't seen n-n-n-nothing yet Here's somethin' that you're never gonna forget B-b-b-baby, you just ain't seen n-n-n-nothing yet...
I have worked for almost 20 years in Mexico, where graft and corruption are all too common among the political elite. That said, I struggle to recall a single Mexican politician coming even close to the staggering amounts of corruption the Trump presidency openly engages in.

Wrong question. The right one is, "Has there ever been a *graphic* sex scene in a non-porn movie that couldn't have been depicted tastefully without affecting the plot?"
What’s a sex scene that genuinely mattered to the plot and couldn’t be removed from the film?

Still doesn't work 9 months later, but today @Fidelity at least acknowledged the problem. They said it would be fixed tomorrow. I said how can this go on for a year? They said, it only affected me. Probably because I was too blunt in rejecting their pitch for portfolio mgmt.

I spent today looking up info on @Vanguard_Group and @CharlesSchwab . You can apparent transfer your entire account to them with less trouble than it takes to set up a an automated RMD at @Fidelity .

Is there a specific point at which @Fidelity crossed the line from a reputable company to a sleazy gang of cold calling scam artists?

Murray: Is it true that people making under $184,000 pay a 12.4% Social Security tax rate? Dahl: Yes Murray: And the rate for someone making $1,000,000? Dahl: 2.2% Murray: So, a 12.4% tax for people making less than $184,000, but 2.2% for a millionaire or .0002% for billionaires.

They call them “data centers” because calling them “mass surveillance centers” would cause a national uprising. The government and Big Tech don’t build billion-dollar facilities in the middle of nowhere just to store your family photos. They are building the infrastructure for a surveillance state— one capable of monitoring your speech, mapping your behavior, tracking your movements, analyzing your purchases, harvesting your biometrics, and building a real-time digital profile of your entire life. And they package it all under buzzwords like “AI,” “security,” and “innovation” so the public blindly applauds the expansion of the very system being built to monitor them. WAKE UP BEFORE IT'S TOO LATE.

WTF is it with X that they show when someone has replied to one of your posts but then won't display what it says? I'm not bothered that they do it so much as not being able to figure out what the point is. What makes that post so special that they'd do that?

When I replaced my 5 CRT TVs with LCD, I bought five @Roku boxes. For 3 TVs, the only app I use is Youtube. The old boxes have little memory, so when Roku updates the ads every few days, they unload the Youtube app to make room for ads. I'm now replacing all Rokus with @Apple.

It's amazing how Republicans control every branch of government and still speak of 'Washington DC' like it's someone else. Trump is currently suing the federal government and directing his flunkies to settle the case by giving him billions. That's the corruption.
