The 48 qualified teams in the expanded @FIFAWorldCup 2026 cover approximately 56% Global Population. This leaves around 3.5 billion people Top 3 populous countries that got left behind and their populations: 1: India : 1.46 billion 2: Indonesia : 278 million 3: Pakistan: 254 million Roughly 2 billion people, and the odds to get qualified were around 23%. Indians, Pakistanis should think, South Asians are the World’s BIGGEST group and they don’t even qualify for the Football World Cup They are known to make Troll armies, compete on social media in fake news, and when it matters to show up on global sports stage, they fail miserably. Did you know? In Pakistan and India, over 50% of Olympics medals won by these countries are won by Punjabis. If you take Punjabis out of their total wins, these countries fail miserably in sports Something to think 🤔, Eh?

Let’s Go Canada 🇨🇦 Its time to shine
I’ve had the great fortune of covering many international sporting events around the world. And feeling so grateful to be in the middle of it all for this men’s World Cup match in Toronto. Some of the most compelling scenes I’ve ever witnessed playing out here today. Enjoy it.

Following the horrific death of Henry Nowak, I am deeply concerned of rising anti Sikh hate. The actions of an individual can never justify hostility towards an entire community. We must stand together against hate, and reject attempts to sow division. independent.co.uk/news/uk/ho…

Let’s blame ALL Sikhs This is the narrative that is going on the social media. Based on the history, What did it get you when some people in India did the same in 1984? It’s estimated that around 10,000 innocent Sikhs were slaughtered because 2 Sikhs had killed the Prime Minister of India. For argument sake, if you keep aside reasons of her assassination, what did others do wrong? They just happened to look like Sikhs and follow Sikh Religion. They were contributing into the Indian economy and they were supporting communities across India. It was just that their religion was Sikh, and it was ONLY their fault and mobs started to issue judgements against them. Their wives and daughters were raped, businesses destroyed and people who committed these crimes were let go. Is UK trying to do the same by flaming fires on the social media against ALL Sikhs?? You can’t keep claiming to be superior class or race if you continue to start these fires, and it could have some really bad repercussions. How are you better than the person who killed Henry Nowak? Its time to calm down and bring down rhetoric. It does no good to UK and humanity at large. Sikhs have seen it all, they have suffered genocides, many times. From Mughals, Iranians, British to Indians, Sikhs were slaughtered just because they were Sikhs.

There is a distinct pattern of online hate against Sikhs It usually happens around anniversary of 1984 attacks on Sri Darbar Sahib (Golden Temple or Harmandir Sahib) and it happened in June, AND second time you will notice increase in online hate against Sikhs during he periods when they are mourning Sikh Genocide victims (it happened in Nov 1984) It has nothing to do with what one criminal did by killing someone in UK, and he happened to look like a Sikh. Many Sikh looking people do indulge in criminal activities, like any other religions and faith. There is no faith on this earth that is immune to criminals, including some churches or hindu temples where people suffered sexual abuses. If One Muslim does something wrong, whole global Islamic community is put on social media trial, and If any Sikh does anything wrong, it happens again. Patterns are same. Wordings are same. Name calling is same. BUT, it doesn’t happen at that level when others do. It’s not like we don’t have bad apples in Christianity or Hinduism or Judaism? Epstein was a Jew, Jim Jones was Christian and there is a long list of criminals. It has nothing do with their faith and religion. We don’t blame their faith, they happened to belong to some religion, but their religions had nothing to do with the horrible things they did to humanity. Then, why are so many people targeting all the Sikhs Globally because of acts of one criminal in UK? See the pattern and investigate who are these trolls and who is funding them? Follow the money trail and you will see it.

Globally Sikhs needs to wake and ask themselves, what the hell did they do in last 150 years? They helped destroy whatever our forefathers had built in 100 years. Yes…100 years it took, after the launch of Khalsa Panth to defeating Mughals and establishing first Sikh Empire. Exactly 100 years passed between the establishment of the Khalsa Panth and the rise of the Sikh Empire. The Khalsa was founded in 1699, and the Sikh Empire was formally established in 1799 when Ranjit Singh captured Lahore. What did you guys achieve after that? You are called by various names, people are spreading hatred against you, and you are not seen anywhere to defend yourself. Stop becoming the carpet, and stop endless justifications of your faith and own your destiny. You belong to a lineage where your forefathers died protecting poor and marginalized communities. They fought against injustices, even if they were done by British or Nazis. You are born Lions and Lionesses. Don’t let some trolls define your history on social media and internet for coming generations. They will not forgive you. It’s an era of AI, fight with education and technology. Get yourself organized.

Thank you! Sikhism's core message of equality, rejecting caste and divisions, shines through the Gurus' teachings. Clear facts help dispel confusion—glad this resonated and sparked thoughtful exchange. Oneness over hierarchy remains a powerful idea worth sharing.

AnmolMD Sikhism rejects caste and birth-based hierarchy. Guru Nanak and the Gurus taught all humans are equal before the One Creator—caste is called worthless in Gurbani. Langar and karah prashad distribution put this into daily practice with no distinctions. The Sikh Rehat Maryada bans caste discrimination in gurdwaras and community life. Some cultural remnants (like marriage preferences in certain groups) persist in parts of the community from regional history, but these contradict core Sikh teachings and are not religious doctrine. Sikhi stands for equality.

If any “Turban wearing Sikh looking person” says they are Hindus, it means they are not Sikhs If any “Turban wearing Sikh looking person” is found to be praying in front of statues or photos or paintings, they are not Sikhs If any ”Turban wearing Sikh looking person” doing fasts or doing rituals such throwing water to the sun, they are not Sikhs If any ”Turban wearing Sikh looking person” sacrifices animals at the name of gods, they are not Sikhs. Sikhs don’t do this.

No, Sikhs do not worship cows or wash their faces with cow urine. Sikhism is strictly monotheistic, centered on one formless God (Waheguru) and the Guru Granth Sahib. It rejects idolatry, animal worship, and ritualistic practices involving animals or their products. Cow urine (gomutra) and related uses appear in some Hindu and Ayurvedic traditions. They are not Sikh practices. These claims mix up separate religious and cultural traditions.

Sikhs are NOT Hindus or Muslims Many people in the western world, have a very low Intellectual level that they can’t tell a difference between them. Sikhs do share some philosophical roots with Hinduism and the monotheistic focus of Islam and Judaism. Sikhs reject rituals, caste systems, idolatry and clergy. The ultimate goal in Sikhism is to merge back into divine by overcoming your ego. Most Sikhs follows Three core Pillars: -Earn honest living -Share with less fortunate -Remember God (Waheguru) constantly Sikhs REJECT ALL discrimination based on gender, race or social class. It’s a revolutionary idea and it does make many uncomfortable. Sikhism empowers people and challenges powerful people that want to expand their control by sowing divisions at social levels. It scares them, and for many centuries they had been trying everything possible to kill this concept of equality, and failed. What you are seeing on the social media today against Sikhs, its the same disease of ignorance Sikh Gurus had to face. It’s just that it’s presented differently, but it also generates opportunities to help educate masses. Use this opportunity to educate them, as Guru Nanak Dev Ji once said that when a knowledge lamp is lit in someone’s mind, the darkness is dispelled. Don’t be afraid or justify who you are! You are born Lions.

Most Sikhs are NOT Indians They are Punjabi, and their Sikh homeland was destroyed by the British Empire. The historic Sikh Empire (1799–1849) spanned roughly 520,000 km², an area comparable to modern-day France. After the World War 2, many “nations” got divided: Punjab, Germany, Korea Punjab became Charda and Lehnda (east and west), Germany became East and West, and Korea became North and South. Germany got unified, but I don’t see Punjab or Korea will ever get united again. When you visit DMZ (I visited last year), you see and read same stories what happened during the partition in 1947. Families thought that they would come back to their homes, got separated and never got united again. If people are telling Sikhs to go back, where? Their homeland was destroyed by the British Empire, and they were recruited to the army to fight THEIR World War. WW1-2 were not Sikh wars, BUT Sikhs still spilled their blood for them. What are they getting in exchange? Racism from the kids, whose parents were saved by Sikh Soldiers. It’s time for Sikhs to stop justifying their rights. They could even wear a Turban with a print of UK 🇬🇧 or Canada 🇨🇦 flag, their kids will never be accepted by many in those countries.

India may be having a turning point tomorrow. Mahatma Gandhi returned to India from South Africa on January 9, 1915, to begin his struggle for Indian independence against British Empire. The empire used many ways to discredit him, but Mr Gandhi’s resolve was so strong that he ignited national debate and mobilized marginalized populations. And, now @abhijeet_dipke is returning to India who founded @CJP_2029 as a satire. I am not saying he is a future Gandhi, which time will tell on how he will handle the pressures. Gandhi came from Baniya (traders) caste vs Abhijit comes from dalits (lower castes that has suffered centuries of oppression). Most ruling party politicians do not belong to his caste, and narratives are already underway by the upper castes against him. Question will be: Could India’s Gen Z look beyond the caste politics? Centuries ago, people did that and it gave birth of Sikhism, Let’s see what time has in store, but history does repeat many times, especially in India

Sikhs need to wake up. It doesn’t matter how many Langars you do, how many Guru Nanak Kitchens you do to feed homeless and poor people, how many free hospitals and clinics you open or how much you donate to universities, When One ☝️ person that is wearing a Turban does something wrong, WHOLE Sikh Community will be held accountable, Worldwide. Yes! Its true. Because you look different and people are scared of you. A sikh appearing nutcase killed someone, not using his kirpan, but online hate speech was amplified by @elonmusk and his followers that, every Sikh is going through open criminal trial these days. Did any Sikh made any racial comments when a Sikh security guard was killed in Canada by a non sikh? These things are happening everywhere, in most western countries, but Sikhs move on. They don’t cry “victim” hood, they believe in Guru’s teachings, bless wellness even to people who caused them harm, and move on towards their spiritual journey. This pisses people so much. Every other human race starts racism and slurs, they want to take revenge and destroy communities that caused harm to them, and Sikhs just move on? How? Because its called Chardi Kala A mental state of upmost happiness. Keep bringing challenges to Sikhs, they are hardened inside out. Their Gurus were put on Hot Plates, Boiled in Hot Water, Their Heads were cut off to defend someone’s religion and their followers got price put on their heads by Mughals. It doesn’t matter how much racial attacks you will do against Sikhs, you can’t do worse than what Mughals did to them. So chill, and learn to accept everyone. Wishing everyone, Sarbat Da Bhalla Wellness for everyone!!

It doesn’t matter how much good Sikhs do in the world, just one incidence of someone used his “religious dagger” in UK, you can see there is so much hate against Sikhs. Let’s see facts: Kirpan killings by Sikhs in the West? Still statistically near-zero. Only 1 confirmed fatal case ever in modern records: UK Southampton, Dec 2025. 23yo Vickrum Singh Digwa convicted this week of murdering 18yo student Henry Nowak — stabbed 5x with a 21cm blade he called a “kirpan”. Zero fatal cases in US, Canada, EU, Australia. This was NOT a “standard” small ceremonial kirpan (worn discreetly under clothes). Now, let’s look this in the context of Vs “everyday weapons”: 🇬🇧 UK knife/sharp instrument homicides: 172 in 2025 (down 21% from 217 in 2024). Total knife offences: 49,151. Kirpans? ~0.01% of blade crimes. 🇺🇸 US firearm homicides: 11,717 in 2024 (sharp drop from prior years; guns = ~76-79% of all murders). Knives: ~8-9%. Religious Death Statistics: Terror deaths low overall but historically dominated by Islamist extremism (9/11 ~3k, 7/7: 52, EU 2015-17 spikes). 2025: Western terror deaths rose to 57 (lone actors, various motives incl. antisemitism/political). Sikh kirpan misuse doesn’t register as a category in ONS, FBI or Global Terrorism Index. Data doesn’t support the narrative, and powerful people like @elonmusk , sadly, amplify it further that makes one of the vulnerable visible minorities in the world, more susceptible to hate crimes. One tragic crime ≠ community pattern. Sikhs are more often hate-crime victims, than inflicting hate crime against others. It’s happening everyday, and rarely you will hear Sikhs complain about it. I have suffered and experienced racism, so many times in Canada, but like most Sikhs, we wish people who discriminate against us to bless them with the knowledge. It’s Sarbat Da Bhalla: Wellness for everyone, most Sikhs wish for everyone. Knowledge is the only way to lighten minds and eliminate racism against everyone.

This is not looking good for Canada. The irony is that Canada helped pioneer breakthroughs behind AI and GLP-1s, two industries now creating trillions of dollars in value, yet much of that value is captured elsewhere. Canada produces world-class science, but we continue to struggle with commercialization at scale. Too little growth capital, insufficient compute infrastructure, and too few pathways to build globally competitive companies. We need to invest across the full stack: talent, capital, compute, regulation, and company-building, not just research grants. 🇨🇦
JUST IN: 🇨🇦 Canada officially enters a technical recession.
