Our Special Assault Unit detectives arrested 31-year-old Brett Pincomb for Armed Sexual Battery, Kidnapping, and Attempted Murder.  But our fight for justice isn’t over. We believe he may have victimized other women, and we want to bring them justice too.    Our investigation in Pincomb began on May 15, 2026, when we learned that a woman had been attacked on an elevator at a Point Meadows apartment complex. While our officers were on scene investigating that attack, Pincomb attacked another woman with a knife.    During our investigation, our detectives uncovered Pincomb armed himself and sexually battered multiple women over the course of several months, escalating in violence.   If you believe this man may have assaulted you, please call our Special Assault Unit directly at 904.630.2168. Our detectives are here, and we want to help. No matter the context of the meeting, if Pincomb attempted to commit or committed a violent crime, we want to bring you justice.

Two cars. Two costly problems. One Orange Park family says they were promised reliable vehicles from a major car dealership… but ended up with breakdowns and a massive repair bill instead.

After her shifts at the jail downtown, Corrections Officer Mary Malcom drives past the Dollar General on Kings Road to get home. That’s the store where a man killed three people out of hate two and a half years ago. Our community came together and built a memorial outside the store for the three people who lost their lives: Angela Carr (52), Anolt Laguerre Jr. (19), and Jerrald Gallion (29). Last week, Corrections Officer Malcom noticed the memorial had been destroyed. She took it upon herself to rebuild what had been lost with the help of her husband and 9 children. Corrections Officer Malcom told us she had never built a memorial before, but she listened to what her heart pulled her to do. We are incredibly proud of Corrections Officer Malcom’s heart for her community, not just in this moment, but in every moment she serves Jacksonville.

It’s not always about scams and fraud. Sometimes it’s just about people simply needing help. Right now, I’m working to help a family raise money so their daughter can get the surgery she needs.

Michelle Wilson lives next to a home she says has become an party venue—loud music, advertised events, and crowds late into the night. She’s filed complaints, but says nothing changes. When does a home cross the line into a business?

The fire in Brantley County, Georgia has now grown to more than 5,000 acres and is only about 10% contained. In this video, a thick plume of smoke can be seen rising from a home engulfed in flames....as people drag a boat away from the fire as it spreads.

So...my desk is less than 50 feet from our studio. I often go to my desk and sit down and check emails during commercial breaks. Well, on this day...I was running a little late 😳

𝐒𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐟𝐟 𝐖𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐬 𝐀𝐫𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐬 𝐓𝐡𝐞𝐟𝐭 𝐒𝐮𝐬𝐩𝐞𝐜𝐭 Sheriff Waters stopped a theft in progress at a hardware store on Atlantic Boulevard this afternoon after a foot chase and struggle. Sheriff Waters was picking up an order at customer service when a store employee flagged him down. A man was attempting to leave the store with roughly $500 in merchandise. Sheriff Waters and a retired robbery detective chased the man. When the Sheriff tried to grab him by his sweatshirt, the man twisted away. The Sheriff pursued him to the edge of the parking lot, where he took him to the ground. The man struggled to get away and resisted, but with the help of the retired detective, they were able to get him into handcuffs as shoppers cheered them on. District 2 Patrol officers responded quickly and took over the investigation. The suspect has been identified as Raymond Pena, Jr. of Jacksonville (40). He is charged with theft and resisting. He also had two active warrants for theft. “Just because I was elected sheriff doesn’t mean I’m no longer a policeman,” said Sheriff Waters, who recently cited a teenager for littering. The Sheriff and detective were not injured in the scuffle. Sheriff Waters says he will always do what he can to protect the city.
