Come to Mexico City! If you're an entrepreneur making 6/7 figures, there's no better group to join. I've been in the Dynamite Circle for over a decade and it's changed my life. It's like summer camp for online entrepreneurs - we takeover the hotel and have a blast.

This dude appears to be rich AF and spends 2 hours a day with his kid. That to me is poor AF.

Heading to Bangkok. One of my favorite weeks of the year. Get to share it with 300 entrepreneurs at DCBKK. 🇹🇭

He dresses like a bootstrapped founder but his smile says otherwise.
It was a pleasure meeting with @sama, CEO of OpenAI, in Abu Dhabi where we discussed the future of artificial intelligence in the region.

T-minus 50 days until hundreds arrive in the electric city of Bangkok. Since 2012, this tradition has been a way to connect with others doing the strange, hard, and uncomfortable -- forging a path through entrepreneurship. Looking forward to hearing all of the ways people are living life on their own terms this year.

What’s a better term than lifestyle business? To me it means complete control which is what you describe on both the personal and business front. @AndrewWarner
I hate “lifestyle businesses.” Running them sounds like being a company man in the old days. In the 1950s, Company Man would drag himself to work every day, suffering through a job he hated, just so he could afford his mortgage and live in middle America suburbs. Maybe buy a Cadillac. He'd endure the humiliation of a junky job for the promise of a "good life" outside of work. Lifestyle businesses feel exactly the same way. You're doing something you don't really care about just so you can fund the life you actually want. That's backwards. Screw that, I want both. I want a great day-to-day job that I really enjoy, that challenges me and helps me grow AND that pays for the life I want. Why should I have to choose between loving my work and loving my life? I'd rather stretch myself on the lifestyle part and overspend to get what I want. Because I know that if I put myself in the right headspace and believe I deserve better things, then I'll work harder to actually afford them. When I bought my first car, I could have gotten a cheap $2,000 Toyota. I was 10s of thousands in debt thanks to NYU. Instead, I spent $17,000 on an Audi. I wanted to train my brain to believe I was worth more. I just don't like this idea that you have to suffer through work to enjoy life, or that you can't have both.

My building (for better or worse) in Barclona is all tourists. Out of the 10ish tenants I have only seen one couple. All are 25-40 years old. Something went very wrong with dating apps.

Landed in Thailand today. Generally avoid WiFi on these flights for quiet time. Inevitably my tranquility is shattered by this pop up 1,000 times during the journey.

Talked with a founder this morning netting mid 6 figures a year. Doesn't want to scale to 8 figures. Understands the tradeoffs he will encounter with his family and free time. Values working less than 40 hours a week and taking multiple international trips. This is DCers.

We just announced the schedule of events in 2025 for DCers. Yes...we even have an event focused on swordsmanship in Japan 😂 Last year our team and members organized over 240 events and gatherings. This year there will be more. Every month members host Juntos in their local city. On average in 2024, each month there were 23 Juntos. We have Chapter, Adventure, and DCx events which are larger events and are often multi-day. Some members travel to attend. We also have our two biggest events of the year, DCMexico and DCBKK, where over 300 people attended last year. Finally, we have 3 events this year for qualified members of DCBlack with 7 & 8 figure businesses. Those are multi-day events in Phuket, Barcelona and NYC. In 2024, I personally went to 10 events. Looking forward to meeting members again this year around the world.

This weekend tragedy struck one of the nicest, most helpful and kind people I know. @allenwalton house caught fire. Luckily he and his family are OK but they are facing months of rebuilding their life and home. If you know him, Allen never asks for help but he's always the first to offer help. Here's a way to help them get back on their feet: gofundme.com/f/help-allen-an…

My true dream has been realized. Putting founders in race cars and seeing who's the fastest. I rented a private track outside of Austin on September 20th and we'll go have some fun in the dirt. Other exciting events happening for DCers this month: September 18th: We rented a spot in downtown Austin for the Junto. September 19th we are hosting a day for DCers where we workshop together and my buddy @AndrewWarner will stop by and do a Q&A. Also, opportunities to go shooting (most interest from our European members 😂)and a golf outing at Barton Creek Country Club that week. Check the forum for details. Today is the last day to RSVP.

Just replied to a long email with my responses in-line and in red text. Feels good. Miss the old days when this was the norm. People writing essays in email to convince or convey an idea.

Been on several domestic flights this year. Southwest used to be my go-to. Now they are the often the most expensive and have the least amenities. 🤔 Have they lost their way?
