Interesting to me that two Indian defense reporters felt compelled to make such similar points in their social media today.

I wish the government would spend more time on this and less time on fake planting trees,
An empty DTC bus at 9 PM. Not because there are no passengersโ€”hundreds were waiting at bus stops along the route. The driver simply wouldn't stop. Route 356STL Dwarka Cluster Depot 22 buses are notorious for this. The only reason I managed to board was because, as I saw the driver not slowing down at my stop, so I pulled out my phone and started recording with flash. The driver immediately stopped. For many Delhi residents, these are the everyday hurdles involved in something as basic as boarding a public bus, especially the old orange ones. Operator contracts need stricter infractions clauses for not stopping.

โญ•๏ธ Trump Jr. secretly holds stake in Texas oil refinery startup that secured nine-figure investment from Indiaโ€™s richest family Donald Trump Jr. secretly acquired a stake in America First Refining, a struggling Texas oil refinery startup that subsequently received a nine-figure investment from Indiaโ€™s Reliance Industriesโ€”owned by the Ambani family, whose patriarch had been publicly targeted by the Trump administration over Russian oil purchases just months earlierโ€”according to a new investigation from ProPublica. The investment coincided with a series of U.S. policy wins for Reliance, including a dramatic tariff reduction on India, a license to purchase Venezuelan oil, and a sanctions waiver to buy Russian crude. How do I love thee Hugh? Let me count the ways.
Replying to @jan_murray
Thanks for your critique, Janet. We actually tried a couple of episodes where House (Hugh Laurie) (please put the brackets in the right place) gets it right first time, but they were only 6 minutes long. NBC werenโ€™t happy. Then we tried some where House never gets it right and the patient dies. The audience wasnโ€™t happy. One could apply your trenchant analysis to other art forms: JS Bach wrote 30 Goldberg variations on the same chord structure; Frida Kahlo painted 50 portraits of herself; Henry Moore, what?? The point is, or was, variations on a theme; if all you see is hospital, medical blah blah, then it wasnโ€™t meant for you. Nonetheless, I look forward to your first novel!

Indeed.
An astounding Badminton tournament between Indian Judges & Lawyers is being sponsored in London today by the Law Ministry! Other sponsors are various corporates. Inaugurated by the CJI & Law Minister!~150 judges & lawyers are participating! What happened to PMโ€™s call for austerity? What of the code of conduct for Judges? What of the Independence of the judiciary? Abominable!

The comment section speaks the volume about how much people in India know about the visas. The dumbest, entitled and what not. What daku has posted is very legitimate and I have seen this more often than written. Someone called this as racism against Indians pffft! Another one community noted the post saying Schnegen has completely phased out the stamping ๐Ÿ˜ญ please folks chat gpt and Google gemini can only take you so far. Yes in principle EES has started but things can get chaotic at border and countries are using their discretion and judgment, just two days ago when I landed in Milan, the visa officer next to my counter was stamping passports while mine didn't. There was no special EES biometrics enrollment and everything was manual. In ideal world Schengen has phased out stamping but that doesn't mean people are not getting stamped. Then the great @GabbbarSingh says "stop fear mongering" changing the hotel is allowed. While yes plans can change and EU rules simply states that the conditions for which visa was issues should stay the same. There are embassies who can cancel your visas, if you deviate from the plans. Anyone who has ever applied for Czech Republic Schengen visa would know the letter that Czech Republic sends, they specifically officially write in the information docket, you are issued the visa based on the hotels and flights that you have provided, changing them can be taken as a violation of visa conditions. I had already posted in past about someone, who took visa from Czech, didn't travel to the hotel mentioned and his visa was cancelled while he was in Europe, he received an email from embassy in new delhi. Poor soul had to take first flight out of Europe and then he eventually kept on getting in visa refused. I know someone who booked dummy to get the visa, once his visa was approved. He mailed embassy sharing the updated details, boom visa revoked. People who usually are denied entry never want to be named, they don't want anything related to them be here on Social media and are too scared to write anything and hence you don't read these things very often.
#SchengenVisa granted for a traveler. Flights Booked. Reached destination. At EU immigration was asked for stay bookings. Bookings didn't reflect the same as shown when applying visa max days stay was not in country of visa country. Denied entry. Visa cancelled. Asked to return back to India.

During the month long summer break, judges crave for invitations to foreign shores. Attending seminars and conferences abroad are considered official work. Judges get paid a hefty TA/DA and get fancy official protocol with embassy staff bowing and scraping. Itโ€™s called a paid working holiday.
The High Commission of India in London has issued a statement condemning "indecorous audience behaviour" after a video from CJI Surya Kant's June 4 lecture at Birkbeck College went viral, showing an attendee attempting to raise questions on dissent in India during an event convened specifically on 'Artificial Intelligence and International Law,' before being cut off by the organiser. The High Commission said differences of opinion are natural in a democracy but must be expressed "in a manner that is civil and respectful."

Joyfully rooting for her and her inspiring entry into tennis elite, but horrifically telling about the tennis ecosystem and struggles.
A 24-year-old Polish tennis player arrived in Paris last week ranked 114th in the world, with no sponsors, no guaranteed income, and no certainty she could even pay for her hotel room. She had to win three qualifying matches just to enter the French Open main draw. Prize money is only paid at the end of the tournament, so a Polish sports drink brand quietly stepped in and covered her hotel bill. Her name is Maja Chwalinska. And today, she plays in the French Open final. Before this tournament, she had won exactly one Grand Slam main draw match in her entire career. She had battled depression so severe that in 2021 she couldn't get out of bed. She underwent knee surgery in 2022. She spent years grinding through small tournaments across Europe just to stay afloat. Then she arrived in Paris, won three qualifiers, and kept winning. Zheng Qinwen. Elise Mertens. Maria Sakkari. Diana Shnaider. Nine straight matches. One set dropped. She is now the first qualifier in French Open history to reach the final. The last time a qualifier reached a Grand Slam final, it was Emma Raducanu at the 2021 US Open. Raducanu won. By simply making the final, Chwalinska has earned more prize money than her entire career combined. The runner-up cheque alone is $1.6 million. If she wins today, she takes home $3.25 million. One week ago she couldn't pay for her hotel room.
