in early 2024, i quit my job to go all-in on my agency.
i had no certainty. just the belief that if i kept pushing, improving, and refining, i could get to the top 1%.
if there’s one thing that’s stood out to me on this journey, it’s this:
most people never get there. not because they aren’t talented, but because they stop too soon. they either never start, or they quit when it gets tough.
larry ellison once said, “the top 1% isn’t crowded.” he’s right. the further up you go, the fewer people are willing to put in:
the time,
the consistency,
the obsession,
to improve.
and it takes time.
dan carlin talks about this - there’s no shortcut to mastery. the best don’t rush it. they take their time, build piece by piece, and don’t stop refining.
but here’s the part people don’t talk about:
the journey is filled with ups and downs.
not every campaign hits.
not every system works the first time.
there are days when you wonder if the work will ever pay off.
but that’s what separates the top 1% - they keep going when everyone else stops.
the goal isn’t perfection—it’s obsession & pursuit.
every campaign should be better than the last.
every system should be more refined.
every client interaction should raise the standard.
so yeah, i’m still learning. still figuring things out. especially in this industry, every day brings new challenges. adaptability is key. but if there’s one thing i know for sure:
if you don’t quit,
if you keep improving,
if you push through when everyone else stops,
you will end up in the top 1%.
not overnight.
not by luck.
but by showing up, every single day.
