I was always interested in Amazon’s healthcare ambitions, but knew it would be all together different if they went to brick and mortar. I guess we are there now!
Oh wow -- Amazon pulls the trigger on brick-and-mortar health care and buys One Medical for $3.9 billion: press.aboutamazon.com/news-r…

Really enjoyed this episode... “Do the portfolio companies that we work with want to work with us? I always say to my team ‘I much prefer to get 4x and be loved and respected than 5x and be despised and feel like we took advantage’” It’s a long game. Be good people.
One of the most humble, caring and genuine people in the business. An honour to do this one with Nigel Morris @QEDInvestors. Love to hear your thoughts on why lending/checking is optimal insertion point? @t_blom @taavet @chrisrbritt @SF_JCB thetwentyminutevc.com/nigel-…
Impressed by the depth of analysis in this 6k word breakdown of Bright Health’s S-1 by @olearykm and Ryan Russell. While Bright is on the road to become the next UHG, will it develop competencies beyond efficient asset acquisition? olearykm.medium.com/bull-or-…

I’ll take the Bull case on Bright.
Could not have said it better! It’s not “work life” and “family life”, it’s just “life”. 👇

What a gift to have work that you love and a family that you love and an ability to blend them both into a life that you love!

I like how Jack Leiter isn’t flashy, but the sole reason he woke up this morning was to strike you out.

This trend was amplified when pharmacists became an integral part of testing and vaccination for Covid-19. Regulation is also quickly evolving to support payment for their work. 3/4

Pharmacists’ frequent touch points with patients provide tremendous opportunity to influence health metrics that matter. It's a privilege to work with @anderegg14 and support the entire DocStation team through their growth and continued national expansion. 4/4
Anthem says 5y ago <1% of consumer interactions were digital, whereas today it's more than 65%. They project in 3y more than 90% of consumer interactions will be digital. I'd love to see similar data for health systems and provider organizations.

Healthcare is inefficient and broken. We must keep working to fix this. Quality of life is tied to more than just clinical outcomes. This isn't the first time I've dealt with the story below. Happens every time I move, get new supplies, change insurance, etc.
A short, personal story about healthcare in the United States... Insulin Pump Manufacturer: (email) Congrats! You're insurance now covers our new product. Me: (phone) Awesome! Let's do it. 1/
