Awake Illinois exists to come alongside and mentor families who assert their parental rights. It is SO important for families to DOCUMENT all conversations and discussions with school staff. Documentation and grievance procedures are key for outlining incidents prior to any necessary legal action.

The lawsuit against D300 in Algonquin was fittingly filed on Mother's Day by a loving and concerned Mom who alleges she endured parental rights violations via secret gender support plans and inability to review student records. It is now pending in IL federal court. @AjayGuptaTweets is supporting this case pro bono.

I’m VERY protective of the advocates who launched organizations in 2021. Many of us didn’t know each other yet but we independently knew something was VERY wrong with unlawful mandates, lacking representative government, and a flood of wokism in schools and policy making. We poured our hearts into building grassroots nonprofits from scratch. The SPLC hates all of us. 🤣 These advocates are some of my closest friends. And we’ve stood up to Machiavellian cruelty — together. When orgs steal the work of and/or badmouth these OG advocates, I don’t suffer that foolishness lightly. And if I don’t mention or collaborate with some of these newcomers, there is a reason. Thanks to all of you who give so much heart and hustle to advocacy in this time. This is why our organization has filed TWO Title IX complaints with the @usedgov last year and FIVE this year with the @CivilRights. Permitting males into female spaces in K-12 schools is systemic and statewide in Illinois. Does Title IX not reign supreme? We assert it does.
