I was deeply moved by my brief visit to the Port of Beirut, where an explosion devastated not just the area, but many human lives. I prayed for all the victims, and I carry with me the pain and thirst for truth and justice of so many families, of an entire country. #ApostolicJourney #Lebanon

UNICEF Spox @1james_elder begged the world for a year to stop Israel’ killing in Gaza, now he’s doing it from Lebanon. “I don’t know whether to scream or to cry…2-year-old Ali spent 14 hours under rubble and hasn’t spoken for two weeks…Ali’s entire family was killed. Are those with power really going to watch in silence AGAIN”

We have received an extremely concerning report that the Sheikh Radwan primary health care centre in northern #Gaza was struck today while parents were bringing their children to the life-saving #polio vaccination in an area where a humanitarian pause was agreed to allow vaccination to proceed. Six people, including four children, were injured. A @WHO team was at the site just before. This attack, during humanitarian pause, jeopardises the sanctity of health protection for children and may deter parents from bringing their children for vaccination. These vital humanitarian-area-specific pauses must be absolutely respected. Ceasefire!

You would have no idea looking at this BBC headline that it’s a story about Israel indiscriminately bombing Lebanon, killing and injuring civilians. Because it doesn’t mention the words: Israel, Lebanon, bombing or civilians.

Look at the totality of Israel's conduct, in the totality of the land it unlawfully occupies, against the totality of the Palestinian people living there. And when you see how children, in particular, are targeted in so many depraved ways - through killing, maiming, starving, torture, terror, depriving them of schools, dreams, future, hope - you see the destructive mind and intent at work, in the realization of a plan that comes from afar.
The Israeli occupation military has blocked schoolchildren from reaching Haj Ziad Jaber School in the Jaber neighborhood of Hebron, south of the occupied West Bank, by closing the road with barbed wire.

Construction vehicles used to demolish apartment blocks in Gaza. Evidently, there is no justification that can possibly be conjured up. This is ethnic cleansing for all to see. No western political leader who enabled this should ever hold office again.

No mention of Israel in a story about Gaza famine and destruction? Ridiculous headline. -Famine isn’t stalking Gaza, Israel is deliberately starving it -Palestinian farmers aren’t losing their land, Israel is destroying it -They’re not losing their lives, Israel is killing them

After decimating Gaza’s healthcare system, Israel is now targeting Lebanon’s. 178 MEDICS killed and 246 AMBULANCES attacked is not an accident. Remember when they tried to tell you Israel would never attack a hospital?
6 more medics were killed in #Lebanon today when #Israel’i forces targeted four different healthcare sites. 178 healthcare workers have now been killed. 279 injured. 246 ambulances attacked.

BBC News reports that the journalists in south Lebanon thought they were safe because they had been giving their location to UN troops who were passing it on to the Israelis. It turns out the Israelis used that information to bomb them.

In just 6 hours, IDF fired at UN peacekeepers in Lebanon, Doctors Without Borders denounced killing of their colleague in Gaza, CPJ condemned Israel killing journalists in Lebanon and the WHO called again for protection of hospitals. Israel is the definition of a rogue state.

IDF shot at UN peacekeepers when they realised they’re being observed. Woah. Really sounds like they were doing no war crimes.

On 22 October, peacekeepers on duty at a permanent observation post near Dhayra were observing IDF soldiers conducting house clearing operations nearby. Upon realizing they were being observed, the IDF soldiers fired at the post. The duty guards withdrew to avoid being shot.

For Israel, a "surgical strike" is one in which you deliberately kill surgeons.

there’s huge competition for the most repulsive gaza coverage but i think CNN describing an IDF soldier running over hundreds of Palestinians as a traumatic episode *for the soldier* has gotta be like top 5
