New in 2026 = A Transition to Practice Program for all APPs starting positions in the Department of Surgery 💥Setting a strong foundation for clinical excellence and professional development by the @BCM_Surgery standards! 💯
Congratulations to Brittany Rhoades and Gilda Martinez on their research manuscript, “Surgical Intervention Among Heritable Thoracic Aortic Disease Parent-Child Dyads.”
This milestone marks the first time an APP is the first author of an original research manuscript from our Division of Cardiothoracic Surgery - published in the prestigious journal - The Annals of Thoracic Surgery!
The study offers signficant new insights into Heritable thoracic aortic disease parent-child dyads and reflects a growing shift toward patient-centered care. Our CTS APP team is proud to be at the forefront, advancing both research and clinical excellence.
The work our HPB APPs do is demanding, complex and critical to patient care. Hannah Swank and Madeline Huster approach every challenge with skill, compassion and a team-first mindset. Their dedication supports both our surgeons and our patients! These two keep everyone smiling even if it means snapping a silly photo to lift spirits. Thank you both.
