We know what’s the most important! On top of that, let’s pull our kindergarten teachers in our offices and ask why their 3rd round of MAP data didn’t skyrocket or why they aren’t closing achievement gaps 🤷🏼♂️

Remember when Kindergartners used to have partial days and still get naps—why would that not still be important? Even adults in business world take long lunches, miss an afternoon for golf or a ball game, yet we can’t let children have an extra recess or an occasional afternoon of play in school? Think of how much more they need it!

I appreciate our Board getting serious about school safety and taking steps to put metal detectors in our schools. Anything helps at this point and preventing this moving forward shows negligence towards protecting students and staff.
