The Bahamas Esports Federation proudly recognises our national representatives who competed in the Central American and Caribbean Games 2026 Esports Online Qualifiers, facing top competitors from across the Caribbean and the LATAM region, under the leadership and support of Team Manager Adam Hanna. Derek “Dawong” Wong Jr. – Street Fighter 6: Across two stages of competition, he secured key victories against Panama, Honduras, and Guatemala, finishing 7th out of 16 overall. Derek earned his place in the main event in Santo Domingo, Aug 7-8 2026. Eric “IllmindEj” Bain III – eFootball: During stage one, he faced Jamaica and Nicaragua, and despite his efforts, was unable to continue into the second round due to unforeseen circumstances. Eric finished 10th out of 12 and will not advance to the main event. We thank Eric for representing The Bahamas with pride and commitment, and we commend Team Manager Adam Hanna for his role in supporting our national esports athletes throughout the qualifying process. BESF remains committed to creating opportunities for Bahamian esports athletes to compete on the regional and international stage. On May 28th, Team Bahamas made their debut in Rainbow Six Siege against 7 other countries within the NA and LATAM region. In the double-elimination bracket, they lost against Team Puerto Rico and then Team Cuba. This unfortunately means they will not continue on to the Esports Nations Cup championship in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. We look forward to their continued growth, both individually and as a team, as we move forward to other events. More updates to come for other titles.
