University of Bolton Institute of Medicine and AIIMS Delhi Forge Strategic Partnership to Advance Global Healthcare AIIMS NEW DELHI signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with UK-based University of Bolton Institute of Medicine, marking the start of an international partnership to work collaboratively across several areas including medical research, innovation, and education (undergraduate & postgraduate education). The event was conducted virtually and attended by executives from both institutions. This strategic collaboration brings together two esteemed institutions renowned for their commitment to excellence in medical training, research, and patient care. These partnerships will encompass various initiatives such as staff/student exchanges, educational conferences and collaborative degree programmes, aiming to enrich the medical education landscape in both countries. Prof Iqbal Singh CBE, Pro Vice Chancellor (Medicine) & Chair of the Institute of Medicine said: ”The University of Bolton Institute of Medicine is committed to establishing strong links with India and we are delighted to be working with AIIMS Delhi to drive forward transformative initiatives in medical education, healthcare delivery, and medical research, benefiting communities locally and globally.” Prof Iqbal Singh CBE is an Indian-Origin doctor who has led a distinguished career in the UK as an academic and educational leader known for his contributions to higher education and improving patient care in the United Kingdom and beyond. Professor Singh's work has been recognised with the award of a CBE (Commander of the Order of the British Empire), an honour bestowed by the British monarchy for outstanding contributions to society.
