Losing a member in the line of duty has rippling effects across our membership and the broader policing community and our city.
Detective John Park was a gentleman.
He was a dedicated member of our Hold Up Squad with 14 years of service and performed his duties professionally and with integrity every single day. He was 40 years old has left behind a wife, and two young children.
The TPA will work with the Service to provide whatever support John’s family, friends and colleagues require during this incredibly difficult time.
We all owe John our respect and our gratitude.
Great to meet with Jeff Hepburn and Court Officer Patti Murphy from the Brockville Police Association at Queen's Park today. Always appreciate the chance to discuss community policing and the wellbeing of the frontline officers and support staff who keep us safe!
Thank you, Christie Lee from the Peterborough Police Association, for sharing your story and supporting our civilian members in navigating mental health and wellness support. All our members, including our civilians, carry the weight of harrowing calls and tough situations daily. It is okay, not to be okay, and important we lean on each other, reach out for help, and access the supports that are available

We are grateful that the police officer with @PortHopePolice will recover from her injuries after responding to an incident last night. Our members face dangerous situations as they protect and serve our communities.
The @PoliceAssocON has 4 strong “leading ladies” serving as presidents of their local associations. I’m inspired by their advocacy and passion for representing and supporting their members. It was great to catch up with them this week at our #PAOAGM2023
We want to thank the @YRPAca at the #paoagm2023@PoliceAssocON Thank your for the hospitality and the entertainment. To @windsorpa519 you have some big shoes to fill for 2024AGM. Thank you to The Solicitor General Michael Kerzner and Attorney General Doug Downey for attending!

Deeply saddened by the news from Oxford County this morning regarding the death of Det. Cst. Steven Tourangeau with the Huron-Perth Community Street Crime Unit, Perth County OPP Detachment of @OPP_WR. Deepest condolences to the family, friends, & community #HeroesInLife
Each one are Fathers, Mothers, Daughters, Sons, Brothers, Sisters, Spouses, Friends, Colleagues and Community Heroes. They answered a call and paid the ultimate sacrifice. 9 Officers in 6 months. It’s not what they signed up for. Change is needed. Talk is cheap. #EnoughlsEnough
We would like to congratulate Dispatcher Lisa Fleury on her over 35 years of experience. We will miss you, and thank you for your dedication over the many years served. #retirementlife#police
