Northport Elementary School has new chairs for outdoor learning! John Diefenbaker Senior School Construction #SHSM students cut the pieces to send to Northport for sanding by Grade 6 students. Yesterday, the students met for mentoring and a pizza lunch courtesy of @GreyBruceOYAP.
Alexandra @BluewaterDSB celebrated National Indigenous Peoples Day with the unveiling and dedication of “Thoughtful Spaces.” This project, in partnership with @CityOwenSound is intended to help us “remember the past, respect the present and build the future together.”
The seven trees planted in this area represent each of the Grandfather Teachings. The pathway along the sidewalk represents our shared journey along the Good Path in life. The pained hands remind us that authentic reconciliation and healing will take time. #GoodPath

Happy Pride Month! In #BWDSB, we celebrate diversity, acceptance, and inclusion, as well as expand our learning on important issues impacting those who identify as LGBTQ2S . During June, our schools/work sites are raising/displaying the Pride flag as an expression of support.

East Ridge Community School hosted its traditional Family Math Night in-person yesterday after last year's virtual event. Over 200 people (120 students) attended for math games, draws, and more. After-School Math Club students also created carnival math games for older students.
After a long couple of years of meeting virtually with Doug Duff @dduff77 we had the opportunity to work with him…in real life!!!! Always pushes our thinking about math. A great reminder of the importance of creating fluidity between CRA representations. @BluewaterDSB
