You’re kidding, right? - Start with a real, two-way ban on military sales. - Suspend the Canada-Israel Free Trade Agreement. - Revoke charitable status of orgs violating Cdn law by funding Israeli settlements. - Investigate and prosecute Israeli war criminals in Canada. -Support South Africa’s case against Israel in the ICJ @IndJewishVoices @JewsSayNo
In London, I met with my counterparts from the U.K., @YvetteCooperMP, and Australia, @SenatorWong, to discuss our shared efforts to advance peace and security in the Middle East. Together, we announced a new International Peace Fund for Israelis and Palestinians to help support the conditions for a just and lasting peace. We also discussed strengthening cooperation on shared security and economic priorities. Canada, Australia, and the U.K. are trusted partners and we will continue working together to address global challenges.

"Toronto residents don't want this airport expansion, and the people in charge know it." Not only Toronto residents, Ontarians in general don't want it, @JessicaBellTO. ON taxpayers want their money spent on healthcare, education, housing & environment. #ONpoli✈️🛬🏝️🛫💸
Toronto Port Authority just confirmed in hearings late today the Billy Bishop airport expansion will cost a massive $4B to $5B. Who is going to pay for it? Is this expansion even economically viable? We also learned the provincial government and the federal government are in secret closed door conversations with the Port Authority over the Billy Bishop airport expansion, and the rest of us are in the dark, including the City of Toronto. Toronto residents don't want this airport expansion, and the people in charge know it. That's why they're not telling us about what's in store for us. They're not telling us about the business case, the increase in pollution, the noise, the health impacts, or the impact on tourism and housing construction.

The fact that he is so good at this really puts into perspective how cartoonishly evil the average politician is
Zohran Mamdani has turned blocks in front of 50 NYC public schools into car-free ‘Soccer Streets’ where children can play in celebration of the upcoming World Cup.

In my entire voting life, I’ve never seen a premier attack, defund, diminish, and disrespect public education the way Doug Ford has. Teachers, educational assistants, education workers, nurses, and health care staff have been pushed to the brink for years understaffed, underfunded, and blamed for a system his government has neglected. At the same time, I’ve never seen a premier elevate policing onto such a political pedestal while public education and public health care crumble around us. The message is loud and clear: some public servants are celebrated endlessly, while others professions dominated by women are expected to quietly absorb the cuts, burnout, and disrespect. Ontario deserves a government that values education and health care as much as photo ops and tough-on-crime politics. Doug Ford needs to go.
This National Police Week and every week, our government will always have the backs of the incredible women and men in uniform who keep Ontario safe.

how to life maxx more: > get off your phone > say yes to spontaneous plans even when you're tired - some of the best nights are unplanned > talk to strangers - at coffee shops, events, literally anywhere. serendipity maxx > make a bucket list and work your way through said bucket list!! > stop opting for boring hangs. switch things up with your friends. try something new!! > start a random hobby just for fun - pottery, dance, improv, cooking. not everything needs to "be productive" ok?? > be 5% more silly in your life. dance in your room, sing badly in the car, crack a bad joke. it's not that serious. grow the silly muscle > surround yourself with people who make you feel lighter - your time and energy is precious > don't forget the basics: move your body, get sunlight, take your vitamins, eat well, sleep > your time to live life is happening NOW so stop saving it for later!! get off those phones & out into the real world people!! lets go PLAY!!!

Billionaires: Hey those foreigners are taking your jobs. Also billionaires: I'm moving my factories overseas to give your jobs to foreigners because you won't let me pay you basically nothing. Also billionaires: Hey help us train our Ai systems so we can replace you with robots as well. Also billionaires: Another year of record profits. Even though we are cost of living crisis

I don’t think I’ve ever in my life seen a more deranged, perverted, intentionally dishonest campaign than the one trying to convince people that protesting genocide puts Jews at risk. In no universe does this make any sense. “Don’t protest against the genocide of Palestinians because that puts Jews at risk of harm.” I mean what the actual fuck??? 2 million Palestinians are slaughtered, displaced, maimed, starved, denied care, chewed by rats as they try to exist in tents pitched in rivers of sewage & we have to shut up about it IN CASE JEWS ARE HARMED? Get fucked. Seriously. FUCKING GET FUCKED

It shouldn’t be possible to lose a court decision and then afterwards change the law to retroactively render your actions legal. It means that in matters of provincial jurisdiction there effectively is no binding law for those that govern us.
NEW: The Ford government has called a late night sitting to pass the budget during legislative off-hours. If it gets 3rd reading tonight, it could be law as early as tomorrow. Rendering the court decision for the Premier to hand over his cellphone records moot. #onpoli

Trump told you he’d run America like a business. He is. It’s called asset stripping. You sell the profitable pieces, gut the workforce, load it with debt, and walk away rich while everyone else holds the bag. Congratulations. You didn’t elect a president. You hired a liquidator.

BREAKING: Marit Stiles’ motion to ban the predatory practice of surveillance pricing in Ontario was voted down by Doug Ford’s government. These are the faces of our elected officials who voted to side with corporations over working people. Remember them. Doug Ford, days after being caught buying a $30M private jet on the taxpayers dime, didn’t even bother to show up for the vote. Shameful. The Manitoba NDP government passed a similar bill, the Saskatchewan NDP is proposing it, and Canada’s NDP proposed it before it was shut down by the Federal Liberals – and now the Ontario NDP’s motion was defeated. It’s clear that the NDP is the only party fighting to make life more affordable for people. More to come.

“A person’s whole life is in that place, their work, their memories, everything. Suddenly you see it exploding in front of you,” said Ahmad Abu Taam, a 56-year-old resident of Taybeh. “From that moment, I felt that I had become a refugee. I feel like I have no home.” “You feel a deep sense of frustration. Like someone has the power to erase you,” said Abu Taam.
Israeli units are nonstop systematically detonating what's left of Taybeh village in northern Lebanon.

France made this wastefulness illegal cause it’s cruel and only causes more waste issues. Any food market or restaurant over 400 square meters has to donate all their good unsold food to charities and are fined if they do anything like this. That law should be applied everywhere
An American showed what his local Krispy Kreme does with unsold donuts at night. Straight into the trash. After private equity took over, the price of a dozen climbed to $22. And instead of selling them cheaper… They’d rather WASTE the food than lower the profit margin.
