First time trying wireless adb on Arch for Android debugging and the connection has been rock solid (unlike on Windoze where it's always been hit-or-miss). Turns out when the OS isn't trying to "optimize" your drivers into oblivion, things actually just work. #linux#androiddev
Everyone's building agentic loops so AI can type for them. I tune my scheduler with scx_loader so typing itself feels telepathic. Different priorities. #linux#scx
Just 're-pasted' my PC. Turns out the 'professional' computer store I bought it from years ago left the factory sticker ON the CPU under the cooler. I’ve been running a literal thermal insulator for half a decade.
Recent performance tweaks greatly improved raw typing responsiveness in HeloWrite. Your terminal emulator's rendering speed or your ability to smash keys are now the only true remaining bottlenecks. #writing#buildinpublic
Updated my tracking tool for the new PRU->credit billing shift. First impressions: 2 (!) Codex requests ate a whopping 5% of monthly budget. Oh well. At least I can now watch my account drain in style. #githubcopilotgithub.com/burninc0de/copilo…
Spent the day (and the night) migrating main rig to Linux.
Temps down. Everything faster.
Also accidentally learned more about my own hardware than in years of using Windows. Not going back.
I heard it's extremely hard to get printers working on Linux. Perhaps I was just lucky but with my old Canon MG2400 it just worked. AUR driver package certainly helped. #linux#learninpublic
Things you didn't know you needed before you had them: sitting in a coffee house and casually switching to your local home network with Tailscale/Headscale. Surprisingly hassle-free.
