I might try to do a comedy show soon. Or not. It would be under my pen name.

My advice: go buy the shit out of Felnin Celesten. The fantasy industry is low af on him. There's no world where he's a worse prospect than Rada or Aroon. Just no argument to be made. I'd follow this advice...except I already did.
My personal top 100 prospects!* 🔥 *non-debuted, vibes only

(These internal rankings tend to blob together after #20. Especially this time of year, I'm looking at 16-20 guys for the 20-30 range).

Upon review, Roldy probably needs a bump to the #16-18 range based on the Hype-O-Meter. Maybe I can pretend Paulie D. fixed the Rox dev machine in 6 months. Bell should be higher too. I'm betting he's a top 10 selection. (In-season keeper rankings don't really matter!)

The pitcher debuts have been very disappointing this year. Really just Walbert Urena with Gage Jump looking OK in a small sample. Andrew Painter's just getting by and Shane Drohan has pitched well in relief/poorly as a SP. Who else? Coleman Crow, Noah Schultz, Tatsuya Imai

re: an earlier tweet of mine, this is potential groundwork for a Harper-to-outfield subplot. The club can potentially pursue an outfielder, 1B, or DH at the deadline.
Kyle Schwarber starts at 1B for first time since 2021 dlvr.it/TT4Mc2

I know folks don't really understand what goes into a swing, but AVERAGING 80-mph on a swing is fucking insane. That's some Jakey Miz shit. And, we don't have data on this yet, but you can bet it's hell on the body. The deceleration strength needed...yikes.
Just two below-average hitters in the top 20. Swing the bat fast and you're in a good position to succeed

Royals are 2nd in fly ball rate but 28th in power (using park adjusted isolated slugging and FB%).

Affordable/good 1Bs seem more plentiful than OF in this trade market. I suggest they remain open-minded to Harper back in the OF. That even gives them a fallback of trying out Keaton Anthony.
"He wants offense out of that spot, clearly." @Ken_Rosenthal expects Dave Dombrowski to try to get the best outfielder he can at the trade deadline.

Why doesn't @Steam have a bidding system? It seems so obvious. I submit that I would buy a game at X cost, the publisher can, at any time, accept my offer (functionally, accept all offers over Y price or accept 500 highest offers, etc.).

Though Lawrence Butler can gtfo.
Would John Fisher trade any of the A's core before arriving in Vegas? “I think we thought Mason Miller would be with us forever... I will just say there certainly are no plans to trade any of those guys or any of the other young stars that we have" nytimes.com/athletic/7363592…

It's familiar because it's fabricated. The negotiations opened in a good spot. Both sides agree revenue sharing needs adjustment to improve parity. Everybody needs to be working with the same game resources. We'll get status quo with some little tinkers.
This is all so familiar. The proposal of a salary cap. The feeling of impending doom. It's like 1994 all over again, and while this year's World Series won't be lost to a labor war, much of baseball's momentum will be if the game is treated the same way it was three decades ago.

Yes, Manfred institutionalized brinksmanship which will always lend an air of danger. Somebody can step in and nuke any CBA now. But, when all the actors have aligned goals, there's no reason to panic. Let's cross "Panic Bridge" before we get bent out of shape.

Their (lack of) depth doesn't really support this idea, but the Phillies should use this excuse to give Trea Turner 10 days off.

By "this excuse," I mean his bruised wrist. In case that wasn't clear.

Some options include: Christian Cairo (not on the 40-man, plenty of options, probably don't want him on there for just 10 days) Dylan Moore (not playing well, but a safe 10-day patch) Otto Kemp (pretty iffy as a 2B/3B, but that's fine) Edmundo Sosa would take most of the reps.

I tried to adblock the little premium clock. They're clearly in cahoots because it let me do it, then, after I accepted changes, blocked every word on Twitter. Clever girl. I'm inclined to not fix it. Twitter is now bad Insta.

This is not me rooting for an injury, to be clear. But it's generally wise to bet against outliers. Mostly, I'm responding to someone asking how the Phillies will beat him in the postseason. They probably won't have to.
