Lyon Richardson: 93-97mph last night & struck out 11/12 hitters he faced (0 baserunners). Hit a HR, too. Most impressive part of his weekend, though, is that he was back in the gym at 9am today. Many athletes say they “want it,” but few appreciate how much work “it” really takes.

Want to know where your throwing errors occur? Not on the forehand in the 5-6 hole w/a 2 Step pattern you burry in the ground or the OF cut you sail allowing the back end runner to advance. It occurs here, where the attention to detail lacks b/c it’s not “cool” to play catch. x.com/coachyourkids/status/9…

PLAYING CATCH: It is the game's most important fundamental skill. Pitching, in its simplest form, is an extension of playing catch. Defense, in its simplest form, in an extension of playing catch. If you can't play catch, you can't play. Period. #STdrills

Think you aren't the average your 5 closest friends? Here's a short reading with some research that says otherwise. "The makeup of your social circle has profound implications for your own behavior, what you do and when you do it is important, but so is who you do it with."

Some drill work I do at home with a tennis ball. I let the ball hit the wall first before making a move. Usually use this as a warm up as well before progressing into harder drills

Parents: Don’t get so caught up in how well your child is performing athletically, that you forget about how much effort they are giving, how good of a teammate they are being and how good of a person they are becoming! Learning life lessons through ⚾️ is what it’s all about!!!
