You didn't address what I said, and now you are just shifting the goalpost. Taphas does not mean rape. Deut. 22:28 is not about rape. It is also used in Ezekiel 29:6-7 for in a positive sense, as in “to take hold of for support.” The word means seize or grab, not rape. Genesis 39:12 also shows this, and the parallel passage of Exodus 22:16 shows the woman is not raped, but seduced.
Here is another quote. Paul Heger said, “There is no explicit indication in the biblical text of Deut 22 that this term refers to rape" (The Seducer and the Rapist: Divergent Qumranic and Rabbinic Interpretations of Deut 22:28–29. Journal of Ancient Judaism. 6. 232-252).
Constantly appealing to the LXX just shows you are hiding from the actual Hebrew, the language of the Torah. Regardless, the word in the LXX does not necessarily mean child. It has a wide range and can mean servant, youth, boy, or girl. Pretending it only means a female child is absurd. I did ask an LXX scholar and he said it's a malleable word
@JoelFKorytko . You are pretending it is not. No amount of emojis will save you from the facts.
