Last month, @CoachCalArk made the trip up to watch "Smitty" and Paul VI play Rogersville on the first night of the @BassProTOfC ... a Thursday night visit to Springfield apparently well worth it now.

In January, one basketball team stepped up to make a meaningful impact. 🏀 The Bass Pro Tournament of Champions (@bassprotofc) featured six of the top 25 high school basketball teams in the country. One team from Southern California, having witnessed the devastation of the wildfires firsthand, chose to visit Convoy's Global Headquarters and give back. St. John Bosco High School players assembled hundreds of hygiene kits that will be distributed to people around the world! A Puryears full circle moment tonight ... @BassProTOfC Hall of Fame inductee tonight Mark Fisher was interviewed at halftime of the title game by my son and current University of Arkansas journalism student @PuryearNate for the national live stream ... Mark is my long-time friend, former boss, golf course antagonizer ... and someone I interviewed regularly as a young pup myself in the News-Leader days when he started at Greenwood in the late 1980s. Congrats on the induction, Fish! Can't wait to hear the comments ... or maybe I should.😁
