I'm hearing disturbing news that on 31 March Belarus’s State Security Committee labelled the Belarusian Helsinki Committee an “extremist formation”, effectively making any interaction with it a crime. This has reportedly been done without any transparent process, public justification, or access to evidence. I’ve repeatedly spoken out against the misuse of “anti-extremism” laws to target HRDs in #Belarus, and it’s deeply concerning to see this trend continue. @BelarusUNOG @Belhelcom
