But wow, this one meant A LOT, it appears. ♥️ It’s really cool to see the FIFA World Cup fans sitting in parks and gathering together even though I don’t watch soccer/football. Sports save lives. They bring people together, keep people healthy, and teach us how to play as part of a team or in the gym. You root for people you don’t know, stars are born, and we watch athletes work and train with others from all over the world, learning disciplines, cultures, techniques, and passions and then sharing that with their fans. Sports give kids something to look up to, something they can physically train to achieve. Sports are an art form that brings people together and gives us all a breather. Sports and athletes deliver the morale boost we sometimes really need. Have a WONDERFUL Sunday! Can’t wait to watch. 😊

Maybe you don't follow baseball, but there is a big controversy now because it was "Pride Night" in San Francisco the other night, the SF Giants' players were supposed to wear caps where the "SF" logo (normally in orange) was instead in rainbow colors, and several of the pitchers wrote Biblical verses on their hats next to the rainbow "SF." Predictably, the SF crowd is apoplectic, labeling these players "bigots" and "homophobes." Query: when your employer forces you to wear imagery that is abhorrent to your deeply-held, long-established religious beliefs, who is the "bigot"? (And don't tell me "Well then they shouldn't be in MLB," because you are saying you must abandon your religion to work.) It's the complaining LGBTQ crowd who are the "bigots" in this case.
