A big thanks to @GabeAdams, @Leidyklotz, and their colleagues for their wonderful research on addition bias and how to overcome it. They did some 20 studies, with 8 or so being the basis of their @Nature paper.
When we switch to the subtraction mindset, we can vastly improve things. @work_matters @Stanford

Mark and I had a rollicking conversation about my new book with Huggy Rao,"The Friction Project." He is so thoughtful. A master of understanding the causes and remedies for organizational forces that render our workplaces inhumane and uncaring. It was a joy to talk with him.
Every organization is plagued by what Stanford University #Business School professor, Bob Sutton calls “destructive friction:” forces that make it harder, more complicated or downright impossible to get things done. My new #podcast guest brings solutions! buff.ly/41bbTqW

Don't mistake quick thinking for IQ. Rapid answers often reflect shallow reasoning. Data: smarter people are faster on easy problems but slower on hard ones. They know haste makes waste, and they want to get it right. Refusing to trade accuracy for speed is a sign of intellect.
