I don't know but something seems to be changing in the media.
Apart from the predictable hostility from GB News and Nick Ferrari on LBC, parts of the press finally appear to be moving towards something dangerously radical:
Judging Keir Starmer on what he actually does.
Not every difficult week is now automatically being presented as a political funeral.
Not every disagreement is being treated as the collapse of government.
Not every Labour setback is being turned into another breathless “Starmer is finished” headline before breakfast.
Some journalists are beginning to acknowledge the seriousness, discipline and stability he brings after years of Conservative chaos.
I would not say the media loves him yet.
That may be asking for a miracle.
But a little fairness, context and neutrality would already feel like a revolution.
And perhaps, slowly, some of them are beginning to realise that quiet government is not the same as weak government.
Sometimes it is simply government getting on with the job.

As a Japanese watching the UK right now, I have one simple question.
A Sudanese asylum seeker just tried to behead a local man in Belfast. The victim lost an eye.
This comes after years of grooming gangs raping thousands of British girls — gangs that police and councils deliberately ignored because they were afraid of being called racist.
In Japan, even one case like this would have triggered national outrage and immediate policy reversal.
But in Britain, the conversation is still about “not being far-right.”
British people, at what point does protecting your own children become more important than protecting your reputation?
We genuinely do not understand this.

Jeff Banks is continuing his campaign to secure a minute’s silence for Henry Nowak before England’s opening World Cup match.
He is now calling on the editors of every national newspaper to get behind the proposal and encourage their readers to support it.
His argument is simple and a fair one, if football can unite to remember tragedies and victims from around the world, then surely it can take a moment to remember a young English lad whose death touched the hearts of so many people across the country.
