☘️🐦 Today at #COP16, Audubon, CAF (@AgendaCAF), and BirdLife International (@BirdLifeAmerica) came together to strengthen their joint commitment to connect the hemisphere through birds, applied science, and sustainable development with the American Flyways Initiative (AFI). AFI addresses the urgent loss of biodiversity and the climate crisis by conserving and restoring key migratory bird routes in the Americas. After two years of rigorous design, AFI is moving into the implementation phase to protect and restore critical ecosystems through nature-based solutions and infrastructure safe for birds and people. Elizabeth Gray (@DrElizabethGray), CEO of @audubonsociety, emphasized the project's significance. "We are working together to protect 30 landscapes and seascapes in this vast region. This is essential to promoting nature-based solutions and sustainable development. The Americas is one of the most biodiverse regions in the world, and we have much to do to tackle both the biodiversity and the climate crisis".
