Our work on digital asset policy and law enforcement issues extends beyond Capitol Hill—and even beyond U.S. borders. This week in Santiago, Chile, BA's Finley and Will joined representatives from the Financial Analysis Unit, the Prosecutor General's Office, the Investigations Police of Chile, the U.S. Embassy, and the U.S. Department of State for a discussion on blockchain technology, illicit finance, and cross-border cooperation. We appreciate the opportunity to exchange perspectives and strengthen international dialogue on these important issues.

If you work in the blockchain industry and are not a member of The Blockchain Association, you should consider joining Through my work at ABE (Ardent Blockchain Education) I am a grateful member thanks to its parent company, @ArkEcosystem This incredible group of professionals fights tirelessly on behalf of our industry, and I constantly recommend other individuals and companies join BA, especially after personally being involved the last two years While we have made significant headway in transforming the United States into the crypto capital of the world, there is still much work to do, from passing the Clarity Act to ensuring offshore businesses come back home to build here If you’re a founder, operator, business owner, foundation or any other interested party, feel free to DM me so I can help make intros to the BA staff

Tokenization is already reshaping capital markets. The question for Washington is will this infrastructure be built in America under clear U.S. rules, or will regulatory uncertainty push it offshore? We need clarity that protects investors and keeps innovation here. My op-ed in @AmerBanker: americanbanker.com/opinion/t…

“ICBA is right that American families care about their local economies. That's exactly why they deserve access to digital payment tools operating under the clear federal rules the Clarity Act would establish. What they don't need is their community bank trade association running an expensive ad campaign to block legislation that would protect consumers and bring crypto fully into the regulatory perimeter for the first time.” -@SummerMersinger for @TheBlockCo Reporting by @ForTheWynn_ theblock.co/post/404439/comm…

This recent DOJ complaint is a reminder that law enforcement already has all the tools it needs to pursue bad actors who knowingly facilitate illicit finance. Note: the BRCA does not change that. In fact, the Clarity Act gives prosecutors and law enforcement *more* tools and resources to go after illicit activity - see Sec. 201, 202, 203, 204, 205, 206, 301, 302, etc. . . .
Concrete evidence that the federal money laundering laws are alive and well in this country - being used appropriately to target a centralized mixing service that *did control funds* and *was easily traced and charged by law enforcement* Highly relevant when we hear people spreading FUD about the Blockchain Regulatory Certainty Act and falsely claiming that it would take away tools for law enforcement to combat illicit finance. justice.gov/usao-edpa/media/…

1/ This week, Blockchain Association filed two comment letters on GENIUS Act stablecoin rulemakings – one with FinCEN/OFAC and one with the FDIC. Our message: stablecoin rules should protect consumers, combat illicit finance, and preserve U.S. leadership in digital assets. 🧵

3/ We called for the FDIC to take a coordinated, principles-based approach, harmonized across federal stablecoin regulators. That means workable reserve requirements, flexible redemption rules, clear definitions, and avoiding unnecessary restrictions that would undermine stablecoin utility, competition, or innovation. theblockchainassociation.org…

end/ Getting GENIUS Act implementation right matters. And the work continues. A clear, consistent, pro-innovation framework can strengthen consumer protection, support responsible stablecoin growth, and help maintain the United States as the #1 destination for digital asset activity and financial technology innovation.

Wow...what a day. @BlockchainAssn's largest Capitol Hill Fly-In to date. 52 Senate Office meetings. 30 Blockchain Association members represented. In what is one of the most critical legislative moments for the crypto industry, our members showed up and advocated for what is right for this industry — digital asset clarity and clear market structure. Thank you to all of our members who have fought tirelessly to get the CLARITY Act to the finish line. I feel so lucky to be a part of such a monumental moment for financial innovation.
