It was a pleasure to join One Care Home and Community Support Services for their Steps for Seniors Walkathon in Stratford this weekend!   This year’s walkathon was in support of ONECARE’s Driven to Care Campaign, which aims to raise $500,000 toward the purchase of a new accessible vehicle for ONECARE’s transportation program. Congratulations to the team and all the volunteers involved for already raising over $250,000 toward their goal!   Thank you to everyone who participated, donated, and continues to support this important initiative in our community.

Proud to recognize the Prevention of Seniors Abuse Network in Simcoe County for hosting World Elder Abuse Awareness Day events, including a flag raising in @penetanguishene.   These important initiatives help raise awareness about elder abuse across Simcoe County and reinforce our shared commitment to protecting the dignity, safety, and well-being of older adults in our communities.   During Seniors Month, we especially recognize the vital work being done to support seniors and ensure they are respected, valued, and safe.   Thank you to staff who attended on my behalf.   #Penetanguishene #SimcoeCounty #ElderAbuseAwareness #SeniorsMonth

Not every patrol car has four wheels. 🚴‍♂️ Great connecting with Hamilton Police Core Patrol, whose officers help keep our downtown streets safe while building strong relationships with residents and local businesses. Community policing makes a difference. #Hamont @HPAHamilton

On behalf of the Legislative Assembly of Ontario, I offer my sincere condolences to the families and colleagues of OPP Constable Tarun Bali and Toronto Police Service Emergency Task Force Constable Marc Pinizzotto, both of whom tragically lost their lives this week in the line of duty. Their courage, dedication, and commitment to protecting our communities will not be forgotten. We owe a profound debt of gratitude to those who put themselves in harm’s way in service to others. #HeroesInLife

A wonderful celebration of appreciation in Seeley’s Bay this afternoon for Dr. Debbie Briggs, who is retiring after 28 years of providing compassionate, quality care to her patients. Dr. Briggs’ dedication has truly made a difference - and the full house was a testament to how much her patients and the community cares for her. She also ensured a continuity of care for her patients by helping recruit her successor, Dr. Tauqeer Tariq, who was welcomed to the community today. So pleased that Ontario’s Rural Economic Development through Immigration pilot program that was led locally by the United Counties of Leeds and Grenville Economic Development Office helped get Dr. Tariq from the United Kingdom and smoothed his licensing process. An example of how a retiring doctor, municipal medical recruitment initiatives, and a provincial program can work together to bring medical professionals to our communities. Kudos to all who organized today’s special event. Thank you, Dr. Briggs, and welcome, Dr. Tariq! Learn more: steveclarkmpp.com/ontarios-r…

This week’s trip to Washington was a chance to make the case for Fortress North America. The message I took to American business leaders and members of congress was simple: Workers on both sides of the border are better off when we drop tariffs and work together to build a stronger, more prosperous and more secure continent.
