We recently did an activity on academic socialization with my advocacy fellows. One’s academic socialization is how families and communities use their own educational beliefs & expectations to provide messaging to their children to help navigate & influence their academic success

DC does not need a Mayor Trump. The rights of 694,000 Americans were threatened yesterday when Donald Trump said he would take over DC if he doesn’t like who is elected. This is a direct threat to our city, our resources, our leadership and our rights as Americans. The time is now to elect leaders who can build political power to protect DC from federal overreach. #LessTalkMoreAction

The RFK Stadium project may be the most transformational development in their District’s history. We have proven we can build transit forward entertainment centers and this is an opportunity to do so again at scale. As your at-large member, I’m committed to working alongside every resident impacted and elected officials ensure we make this a stride forward for our District. #dc #ward6 #ward7 #kingmanpark #democrat #rfk #commanders

Let's try a heavy dose of Radical Honesty: Residing and going to school in D.C.I have a front-row seat to how the City Council operates. D.C. Council races shouldn't just be an ideological purity contest or a vanity project for the most focus-grouped candidate. With our local budget autonomy under constant fire from a hostile Congress, we need leaders who know exactly how to manage complex city systems, write airtight laws, and actually track the outcomes. I’ve already officially declared that @GregoryJackson has my #1 spot on the ballot for his incredible national and local work on gun violence prevention. But under D.C.’s crowded primary system, you have to be completely strategic about who you trust with the balance of power. That is exactly why I am proud to announce that I am ranking @LisaJRaymond #2 for DC Council At-Large on my Rural Gen Z Bestselling Substack! Look, Lisa is the absolute definition of an operational executive who doesn’t need a learning curve. She has spent three decades doing the heavy, unglamorous lifting behind the scenes of D.C. governance. As the former Chief of Staff to D.C.’s first elected Attorney General, Karl Racine, and the senior education advisor to the Council, she has spent years auditing budgets and holding agencies accountable. She isn't theorizing about city infrastructure, she helped build it. Her platform brings a precise, masterclass approach to Progressive Populism: A True Education Champion: Leveraging her experience as the former SBOE President to demand real accountability for students, fully fund early childhood educators, and expand career and technical apprenticeships. Aggressive Housing Oversight: Cutting through bureaucratic red tape to build affordable housing faster across all eight wards while fiercely defending rent stabilization to stop displacement. Unyielding Home Rule Protection: Fighting back against congressional interference to shield D.C.’s budget, local laws, and reproductive healthcare options from federal overreach. We don't need performative talking heads who treat local policy like an abstract textbook. We need Greg Jackson and Lisa Raymond. Rank Greg First, and Lisa Second! substack.com/@nooneaskedbutp…

Things I’ve learned in this race… AI is increasingly playing a role in elections. People are asking AI who should they vote for, not knowing, that a team with a strong AI SEO can train AI to respond certain ways.

Oye Owolewa has a strangely positive and detailed wikipedia page for someone who is in a minor political office. Most of the edits are from small accounts whose history is mostly only editing the Oye page- one even disclosed they were *paid* by Oye

👀👀👀👀 He claims his house was "targeted for who he is" Told MDSA he wants to cut MPD by 50% but claims he filed a police report without working cameras. Hey @repoyedc do you have the police report number?

It was obvious that @repoyedc was shady as hell when he started parading around in his doctor costume as a pharmacist on the campaign trail, clearly trying to imply he’s the type of doctor that he is not. This Wikipedia astroturfing further proves it. People confident in their credentials do not need costumes. People confident in themselves don’t create and nurture a fictional autobiography on Wikipedia. So embarrassing.

DC Residents, As a candidate for DC Council at Large, my commitment is to make DC a safer, more affordable place where ALL can thrive. I am committed to building a real public safety strategy and investments to make our communities safer. I will work to shift the philosophy of the DC Council to make DC a better place for small businesses to open, thrive and create jobs. I am committed to protecting and expanding resources for our youth, both education and recreation to ensure our future generations are better prepared for the real world. Additionally, I will build power within Congress to protect Home Rule and strengthen the coalition fighting for DC Statehood.  I know I’m the best candidate to accomplish that, but in an environment with 8 other candidates and rank choice voting, I encourage my supporters to consider ranking Candace Tiana Nelson and Lisa Raymond high on your list for DC Council At-Large.  At a time when our city faces significant challenges around affordability, public safety, economic opportunity, and trust in government, I believe Candace and Lisa bring the integrity, experience, compassion, and vision necessary to move our communities forward. Candace Tiana Nelson has demonstrated a deep commitment to government service, equity, and community-centered leadership. Her ability to connect policy and government with the real needs of residents makes her a powerful voice for families, working people, and neighborhoods across the District. Lisa Raymond has long been recognized as a thoughtful and results-oriented leader who understands how to bring people together to solve problems, especially in education. Her dedication to public service and improving quality of life for residents reflects the kind of steady leadership our city needs right now. Together, Candace, Lisa and I represent a new generation of leadership grounded in experience, collaboration, accountability, and action. We understand that effective leadership is not about talking points, it is about delivering meaningful results for the people they serve. During this critical time for the District, I encourage residents to support my run for DC Council and consider highly ranking Candace Tiana Nelson and Lisa Raymond. Less talk, more action.  Sincerely, Greg Jackson Jr. Candidate, DC Council At-Large
