ICYMI the biggest news of the week was buried in Tuesday's @StreetsblogNYC article on @NYC_DOT regulatory delays.
I'm thrilled to announce I've joined the law practice of safe-streets legal legend Adam White! Please reach out for all your bike and pedestrian litigation needs.
ALT Screenshot of Streetsblog article reading, ""DOT’s inability keep its regulations up to date with laws passed by City Council and new street designs implemented by its own engineers contributes directly NYPD writing cyclists bogus tickets and the city’s inability to take action against dangerous drivers," said Brandon Chamberlin, a lawyer with Adam White Law (full disclosure: a Streetsblog advertiser)." "Brandon Chamberlin, a lawyer with Adam White Law" is highlighted.

"We can’t stop the DOT from doing what they’re allowed to do. Even if they implemented a plan that you claim is identical to the previous plan, you can’t challenge that in this petition" - Court Attorney
i am not a new yorker bc i was born there, i am a new yorker bc a rat once ran over my sandal-clad foot while i was walking thru the 14th street underpass to get on the f to get to my shift as a hostess at a seafood brunch place in carroll gardens and when i got there i got fired
Coming back to twitter to say @NYC_DOT will be back at bkcb2 to finally present the final block of the Ashland/Navy protected bike lane tomorrow for the last and final time
Really excited for this proposal for a protected bike lane on Navy/Ashland at cb2! Nearly everyone spoke in favor (helps that everyone was opposed to other things) @bridges4people
After ~3 hours of in person testimony, several people turned away at the door due to capacity constraints, and with 150 people watching on Zoom throughout the night, the @CB7Manhattan vote in support of the proposed W. 72nd Street redesign carries 26-17-1.
Exactly the right outcome. Great news & bodes well for the ultimate disposition of this rubbish attempt to stop safety upgrade. Now @NYC_DOT please revisit Bedford Avenue and correct the mistake that was made reverting the northern 3 blocks to a useless & dangerous class 2 lane.
Judge DENIES temporary restraining order to halt work on 31st St protected #bikeNYC lanes! DOT can keep working. Parties back in court on July 6.

There's a new bike lane on Centre Street, and we're thrilled to see that paint is already on the ground — well before the World Cup, as promised.
This redesign will provide much-needed room for the Brooklyn Bridge's >10 million annual visitors!
