Mike Fore from @Break80G crossed the Atlantic to sample the exciting new 36-hole links adventure @CabotHighlands - and it was worth the trek.

Breaking: After weeks on life support, LIV Golf has lost the funding of its Saudi backers, sounding the death knell for the upstart league that split pro golf on.wsj.com/4uaDMg4
To use the old Hollywood saw, No one knows anything. But a tapped-in player agent just texted me, “Have heard MBS wants to use the war as Force Majeure to pull the plug.”
If LIV folds abruptly as reports indicate, the good news is that players can file breach of contract claims against the Saudi Public Investment Fund in the courts of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
LIV Golf executives are in Mexico City today and sources indicate it is “business as usual” for the league.
Tee times for the event starting tomorrow will be published shortly.
I’ve spoken directly to multiple people within LIV Golf who all say they have had no issue with being paid. Future venues are proceeding as normal, with no indication that anything will change. And players are getting ready to tee it up in today’s pro am, fully expecting LIV Golf Mexico City to go ahead as planned.
🚨👀⛳️ #BREAKING — LIV Golf executives have been summoned to NYC for an emergency meeting, amidst reporting that the league’s future is in question. Players are reportedly “in the dark” over the future and the meeting has nothing to do with a potential DP World Tour merger, @TelegraphSport reports.
Ryan French from Monday Q Info reports that LIV Golf is about to shut down.
Speaking on X Spaces last night, Ryan said:
“I think everybody should probably stay near their phones…
“I have some pretty good sources and I’ve heard that some other people have sources that LIV is shutting down.”
Later on in the episode, he said:
“I’ve got everything from, and these are people that I trust, that you guys know. Players didn’t get paid today, power went out because the bill wasn’t paid, employees didn’t get paid. Stuff like that.
“There is definitely a lot going on… Things are not good.”
Ryan is very well connected and respected in the professional golf world. He would not be saying this unless he was certain something was coming.
Expect this story to move fast.

Ive heard from multiple sources that a bombshell announcement on LIVs future is imminent.
We don't give out gambling advice but If your’re a prediction market type person I would bet the under of whatever they have posted.

Fewest fairways hit at the Masters through 2 rounds:
Davis Riley, 32.1% ( 18, Last)
Rory McIlroy, 46.4% (-12, 1st)
I apologize to Davis, not trying to be a jerk, just had to share the unique juxtaposition.
This is free'd up Rory. Demons are exercised and every Masters from here on is icing on the cake
Only thing now is, passing people for major titles that can get in his head
For what it's worth...
In 2016, Jordan Spieth was 2nd in the world and defending Masters champion and lost a 5-shot lead with 9 holes to play.
In 2026, Rory McIlroy is 2nd in the world, defending Masters champion and is 6 ahead with 36 holes to play.
It feels over. It's not.
Aldrich Potgieter averages 325 off the tee on the PGA Tour. Jose Maria Olazabal averages 268 off the tee on the senior tour.
JMO beat him by 10 today.
On the front nine.
I just heard on the live coverage of the Masters...
"If you are precise on this golf course you will be rewarded"
Can someone name a golf course where precision isn't rewarded? Any of these architects out here trying to reward terrible shots?
Matt Fitzpatrick ripped the slow play in professional golf after winning at the Valspar. The thing is, he was 100% correct, it is becoming a major problem. @MattFitz94#golf#golfers#fy#fyp
