Because of the chaos caused by Metro Surge, Trumpās DOJ dropped meth-dealing charges against a 12-time convicted felon who previously strangled a pregnant woman. Thatās not even the only case theyāve had to abandon because they donāt have enough prosecutors.
The surge hasn't made Minnesota safer.

I am troubled by the events that have unfolded in Minneapolis. As an attorney and former federal prosecutor, I believe a thorough investigation is necessaryāboth to get to the bottom of these incidents and to maintain Americansā confidence in our justice system.
I look forward to hearing from DHS officials about what happened here and how we can prevent further escalation in the future.
As I said on @ThisWeekABC last weekend, both sides have a responsibility to turn down the temperature right now.
