"This program, which could become a model for other community colleges to emulate, comes at a time when child care has become an increasingly tough financial and time-management challenge."
“WSCC’s creative brainstorming and partnership building, all with a constant focus on how to serve students who have family responsibilities and low incomes, will make their pilot program more accessible to parent learners in their community."

Our BRIDGESRural cohort teams experienced this first hand over the past year. We cannot design for rural learners without including them in every phase of the design process. #RuralEdForum

"Get to know your students, this goes for lawmakers, teachers, administrators, and parents. Sometimes students know best and have some great ideas when it comes to improvements. Be open to learning from what they have to say." 🥰 @BridgesRural

A great piece by @eddesignlab Designer in Residence. Our #BRIDGESRural teams continue to explore these areas of change, starting with the application of the design mindset. Mindset shift #1- get comfortable with being uncomfortable. insidehighered.com/views/202…

Human-centered design has really allowed our institution to step back, take some time, and trust the process, as well as get feedback from all stakeholders, including our students, as we make decisions on our pilot moving forward. eddesignlab.org/news-events/…
